1  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Animator(s?)/PSAer(s?) for machinima on: August 07, 2012, 07:32:39 PM
Here is my original post under the Attack and Animation Help section. (Maybe that wasn't the best place to put it. XP)
http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=48829.msg994883#msg994883

As it says in that post, I can do some basic animations, but nothing really special. I've done some standing animations for most of the characters I'm using, but there are a bunch of them (a few in particular that are essential) that I can't do myself. I would like to ask if anyone can possibly help me out. Most of the main information is in the other post, but I figure I might as well go into a little more detail as far as characters and such things go.

The plot is based around 5 (6 if DK is considered separate from Mario) Nintendo franchises: Mario/Donkey Kong, Zelda, Metroid, Star Fox, and F-Zero. These are basically all of the characters I will be using and the characters they are over if any (Some don't necessarily need new animations):

-Mario series: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Bowser Jr.(Ness)/Shadow Mario(Mario), Wario, Waluigi(Pit), probably some of Bowser's minions although I'm not sure which ones yet
-Donkey Kong series: DK, Diddy, King K. Rool(Wario)
-Zelda series: Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, Dark Link(Link/Toon Link)
-Metroid series: Samus/ZSS, Ridley(Meta Ridley-Alloy), Weavel(Falco), Space Pirates(Samus)
-Star Fox series: Fox, Falco, Krystal(ZSS), Slippy(Ness), Wolf, Leon(Falco), Panther(Fox)
-F-Zero series: Captain Falcon, Phoenix(Captain Falcon), Blood Falcon, Black Shadow (Ganon), Deathborn (Ganon)

Again, not all of those characters will need animations. (Don't worry, you don't have to animate a full moveset for Meta Ridley or anything like that. XD) Although, I only really need a few particular animations to make this all work, I would like to go a little farther if possible and get some animations like the ones used in machinimas like Smash King that are basically different poses and movements/transitions into different poses. I also have PSA listed in the title. That is because a couple of characters need some minor GFX changes. The main one is preferably a draw and put away sword moveset for Link similar to some of the ones currently available for Ganondorf, but just having his sword and shield on his back when he's not doing an attack or something would be nice too.

I guess, before I drag this out too much, I should wait and see if anyone is actually interested first. I would greatly appreciate the help and I don't plan for this to just be a simple finish 2 or 3 parts and then cancel the other 7 or 8. I have the whole thing planned out and written, I just want to get some animations before I do most of the filming. I've already finished the opening, intro, and first part, as well as most of the second part (These parts don't involve many different characters.). There will probably be 10 'episodes' along with a short prologue/introduction to bring some people up to speed who haven't played F-Zero as much as I have. I will explain more if anyone is interested, but I've probably made this way too long, so if you've read all of this, thank you for taking the time. Smiley
2  Help & Tutorials / Help / Link Sword and Shield on: July 29, 2012, 01:56:29 PM
I just started getting into animation editing and I'm trying to do a standing animation where Link's weapons are put away, but not invisible, so I was wondering if there is any way to make his sword and shield always visible on his back. I can get them to be invisible, but not on his back.
3  Help & Tutorials / Help / Custom CSS messed up on: November 07, 2010, 12:28:50 PM
So I made my own CSS in CSS Organizer 2.0. I added Zero Suit Samus, Sheik, Ivysaur, Ridley (Charizard), and Bowser Jr. (Squirtle). I have followed several tutorials the only thing I have successfully moved ared the CSP things/window that shows the character when you select them (I don't know what you call them exactly.) and Donkey Kong's icon is randomly on the other side of Mario's (behind player 1's window in this case) I have all the necessary codes (I'm pretty sure, but I could be wrong.) and whenever I save it, if I try to open the same file I just edited again, most of the icons are in their normal places, but a few are scattered randomly. Am I doing something wrong?

Here is my list of codes (I make videos, so I have a second SD card that uses all the same codes, only the HUD is gone, Camera mode, etc.):

Unrestricted Pause Camera
Enable Random Expansion Stages
Custom SSS
Stage Expansion System 1.1
File Replacement 3.5.1
CSS ZSS & Sheik Fix
Alloys and Others don't crash
CSS Giga and Company
Independent Pokemon Engine+don't crash my music
Hold Shield for Giga and Company
CSS Fix
Custom Random v1
Regular Zelda Icon Fix

I have all the X and Y values written down on paper since I kept accidently moving stuff also.
It's in a similar style to all the CSS's where Player 1 is on the top left, player 2 bottom left, player 3 top right, player 4 bottom right, and characters are in the middle from top to bottom. The only thing I can really think of that could be wrong is that maybe I didn't give ZSS, Sheik, Ivysaur, etc the right posXX value since I just added a new icon and put their pictures on them, but still, it should work with or without them shouldn't it?
Any help is appreciated.

EDIT:
I figured out that Mario is in the spot that I want him, but everyone else (except Link and Samus) are in their normal places. Link is behind Olimar and Captain Falcon, and Samus is behind Gray Fox (Meta Knight). I have no idea what is causing this.
4  Help & Tutorials / Help / Indexing (With GIMP, not photoshop) on: July 02, 2009, 05:26:12 PM
I am currently working on a texture on Ganondorf. His hands have +2 on them. I cannot figure out how to index +1 or +2 with GIMP. Can someone tell me how?
