197  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: Omni's Realm-Wargreymon SCREENSHOT UPDATE on: December 03, 2012, 10:22:33 PM
Thanks Ani, I'm going to give it a 90 degree rotate so that the "shine"/"glow" faces the stage, because right now it's angled so it's hard to see in-game.

I'm still trying to find/rip some decent lava graphics, because the ones from Norfair either suck or completely shaft the filesize.

198  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / SCREENSHOTS!!! on: December 03, 2012, 10:13:53 PM
Updating with some progress on the Neutral Special: Terra Force, I've finished the grounded version of the N-B and I'm now making the aerial version of it.  I'm really pleased with how the custom animation flows and the effects have been tested so they fit perfectly into each segment of the move.  The throw is really fluid and so is the cooldown lag, hopefully I can get a video of it out soon!!  Until then here are some screenshots!!!  Happy Face

Hope you like the progress! Comments with feedback would be much appreciated!

Another little Wargreymon preview, like I told you the fireball renders alot better in-game  Wink

This is the grounded version of Terra Force and the animations and effects are nice and fluid, I really took my time editting both the animation and the effects.
I'm going to start the aerial version tonight and finish it tomorrow!

Also I think his side b should be the boots of hermes move from mortal kombat.
^This is so right.
KJP I would model the move similar to a Falcon Kick/Wizards Foot, being a dash attack and consequently enveloped in flame for the duration, but I would amplify the speed while significantly lowering damage.  It shouldn't go far it should be a short, quick dash that deals minimum damage but some knockback, also it should function as side dash in air as well, as opposed to a stall-then-fall or something of that nature.  Hope this helps.

Working on Wargreymon's Neutral Special and Side Special today, hopefully will get them finished I have all standards except the D-tilt done and all aerials except D-Air done.  Here's some progress on Terra Force:
Fireball's texture looks funky in Bb but it looks fine in Brawl, I'll update this post with some GIFs of the Side Special later.

203  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: Omni's Realm-Wargerymon's moveset 90% finished, still needing some ideas... on: December 01, 2012, 02:19:05 PM
Alright I've updated the moveset feel free to read it and give feedback as you see fit.  I've finished every move with the exception of the Down Special, as much as I would like to make it Grey Shield "shield" moves are incredibly hard to do so I'll have to do some exploring in PSA before I create that move.  Also any ideas for the taunts would be appreciated, as you know I strongly favor "attack taunts" giving characters access to powerful moves on the ground after they've achieved a certain % level.  Look forward to hearing from you guys!

Big thanks to Gumdramon for the model and rig  Happy Face
And so it begins  Im srs here

Bumped for progress on WArgreymon's Neutral Special: Terra Force, let me know if you guys have any complaints or concerns about the moveset or the model!
Will post in-game screenshots later!  And the fireball's textures aren't fully rendered in Brawlbox that texture is transparent where the black is and the texture animation creates a "fire" effect.

As thrilled as I am to see a Kratos moveset, I feel that Brawl is incapable of creating a version of Kratos that truly does him justice.  Kratos's abilities are supposed to be so widespread and he's able to wield such a large amount of versatile and crucial weapons there just simply is not enough file size in any character to build him: the one exception being if you could create a model and anchor the bow, medusa's head, and all other items to his hands and control their visibility either with visibility bones or model changers (I would use the former).  Regardless I'm still looking forward to see your approach to Kratos although I do suggest you make the following changes:
-Bow of Apollo: This weapon never functioned like a regular bow it was Kratos's equivalent of the machine gun, so it would be more accurate to change its function to be able to rapidly fire arrows that do low amounts of damage (somewhere in the 1-3% ballpark).
-Throws & Grabs: In my opinion it would reflect Kratos's actual moveset more if his grab was with his blades and you created a more diverse set of throws, if you need to freshen up on how God of War actually plays I suggest using Youtube.

All in all I like the fact that you desire to create Kratos, however I think you need to watch how he plays in Playstation All-Stars to really get a good idea of how he should function in Brawl.  Alas, I feel my tone may be received as condescending, but I mean no harm or offense.  In fact as aforementioned I would really like to see Kratos in Brawl, I just think you deserve logical and in depth feedback on the moveset (I always like when I get it) so I hope this reflection on your moveset proves useful.

Awesome thanks man, keep my posted on your progress!  Also if you could add in a couple more ThrowN bones that'd be great too I have some multiple projectile attacks planned!

I feel like on Solidus's F-Smash, I'm assuming that's the attack that you also posted the animation for, once he hits the ground he should pull back kind of more along the ground almost dragging his swords as he goes.  I hope this feedback helps make the animation look a little more realistic and fluid.  All in all though great work.

207  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: Omni's Realm-(War on Pause) Drafting Wargreymon! on: November 25, 2012, 01:33:14 AM
Actually I'm using Digimon Rumble 2 as inspiration for alot of moves, but I suppose they're essentially the same thing  Grin

I'm looking at the layout I have so far and really there is not that much coding that I'm going to need to edit besides some (perhaps) over-the-top Smash Attacks and the Neutral Special (possibly the Down Special too).  Considering the hack is going to be on Ganon and he has a huge 500kb+ file size limit, I have some room to add in some extremely flashy GFX  Roll Eyes so I'm thinking of adding some more "visually appealing" attacks.  Ideas include:
-A flaming shockwave formed from a claw slash for the Forward Smash
-A rapid-fire version of Terra Force, firing smaller energy spheres
-An application of Wargreymon's immense strength similar to the "Rock Throw" attack in my Zeus PSA, although it might be a bit more "brutal"  Happy Face
-I'm thinking of giving Wargreymon access to Poseidon Force which is Terra Force but with water, which is usually a move only Wargreymon X can use.
-A lava geyser for the Upward Smash

As far as ideas I'd like to hear some more from you guys and I've laid out a Final Smash concept as well:
-Wargreymon will digivolve into Omnimon and then have two options:
1.  Press A and use Grey Sword and create a giant "slash" shockwave that deals high damage and medium knockback
2.  Press B and use Supreme Cannon and blast a beam across the stage dealing medium damage and high knockback.

That's all I have for concept updates for now!

208  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: Omni's Realm-(War on Pause) Drafting Wargreymon! on: November 23, 2012, 04:07:45 PM
Oddly enough since Digimon have their own "Brawl-like" games they actually have large moveset pools in addition to moves in the anime.  So in this sense they actually have more of a moveset/foundation to build a Brawl moveset on as Pokemon lacks a Platform-style fighting game.

I really wanted to do that move, but Gumdramon is rigging up a new model and idk if I'll be able to manipulate the "Grey Shield" to make the move as visually appealing as I would like  Undecided but I'll definitely put it on my list!

It technically would have all; the strengths and weaknesses of Ike's Quick Draw... see here: http://super-smash-bros.wikia.com/wiki/Quick_Draw so I would draft alot of the same components of Quick Draw as it's viewed as an effective move in the Brawl Community!
