Ripped War's Chaos Form from Darksiders via 3D Ripper DX such a pain:

And I'm T-Posing it to send to jokekid for rigging and importing but does anyone have any tips for T-Posing the model?  I've already done the arms (which was damn hard) and now I only need to do the legs and tail!

Developed a way to make a character shape shift  Happy Face should I make a tutorial?

How to:
Things you will need:
-A character with an article (in either their model file (fitblank00.pac/pcs) or their motionetc)
-The model imported over the character bones for regular and transformed (aka they both have to be on the same bones) (BUT THEY'RE TWO DIFFERENT MODELS)

Steps:
1-replace the article model file with the model that you want your character to transform into.
2-Make animations for the regular character, lets say you want him to transform at frame 4 then at frame 4 (make sure you have Vis0 synced) disable all the characters polygons until lets say frame 16.
3-Import the original animation to the article under animation0 or whichever one you want, make sure the transN bone is scaled to 0 on all axis's at frame 1-3 and then at frame 4 scale the TransN back to 1 and set it to 1 at frame 16 as well but at frame 17 it should be scaled back down to 0.
4-In PSA make sure you call up the article at the beginning of the move and that you delete it at frame 17, (also make sure you spawn in to use the first animation which is in animation[0].brres
5-Test it
Sorry its just a quick explanation but essentially you're using 2 different models with the same bones and animation and playing one over the other when the other is invisible.  Since their bones are parallel you can attach hitboxes to the main character and it should line up with the other models.

Note: This is how I'm making War briefly transform into his Chaos Form in his upcoming PSA, it's a technique I'm experimenting with and will update later as I perfect it.

i would avoid superman. i think he's the second most broken super hero concept ever thought up of. besides the Flash... [censored] Flash.

anyway, i can't wait for Zues. he sounds like a sexy PSA

Not doing Superman, my next project is War from Darksiders I've already started on it and I'm ripping the Chaos Form model tonight and sending it to jokekid for rigging and importing.

Here's what I've been spending time at today, T-Posing War's Chaos Form to send to jokekid for rigging, here's the current model with red overlay:

This had to be ripped raw from the game via 3D Ripper DX and it was a pain but it'll be worth it in the long run  Happy Face

Post your suggestions for War's moveset!

PS: The reason for the problems uploading was because the compile of Zeus version 0.9 was corrupted (? this is what it kept telling me when I went to open the files idk what happened) so I'm going to try to salvage some files and see what I can do there, I don't want to redo all that work between v0.8 and v0.9 Sad

Sorry everyone haven't been able to access my computer the last couple days but I'm gonna polish off the Zeus stuff and pack it up and give you guys v 0.9 if everyone is ok with that.  Problems with Down-B kept it from being included in the initial release but when I finish it I'll release Version 1.  For now keep checking for updates I'll get everything uploaded today and throw it on the Vault!

Note: I didn't have the time or knowledge to rig the Blade of Olympus yet Sad so it won't be in version 0.9

Due to the poll being ineffective, as there was a tie, I chose to do War (from Darksiders) over Ike!  I've been collaborating with jokekid on getting a Chaos Form model rigged and hopefully he'll complete that soon.  So I'll be giving War the ability to shapeshift in and out of his Chaos Form.

I'm forming a moveset at the moment and I've started on some animations and PSA work just for experimentation, this project will have a lot more PSA work than Zeus ever did and hopefully it'll be just as appealing both visually and aesthetically as a character!

Agreed but its experience that gives you the knowledge of the building blocks that you use to make attacks.  Most logical things are possible it's just about how much you're willing to compromise and what coding your character has to start with!

Mmmm an excellent idea, I like my simplistic renders tho they suit the characters! Lol

Also just another bit of advice for GG (that's what I'm gonna call you GanonGod) literally PSA is all about experience just experiencing everything for yourself and using others work to gain new knowledge from it.  If you get stuck or something just open up other PSA's I STILL do that sometimes when I'm making certain properties that I've never tried to make before

And yeah, sprucing up the Op would be nice. I have a lame Op too though. Haven't taken the time to photoshop the hacks I've done to make my Op look nice.
He doesn't have to photoshop it I'm just saying it'd be nice for those Legend of Zelda-deprived hackers to know who Oot Ganondorf is

Superman is easy for me now since I figured out how to make beam attacks with infinite range so heat vision would be a breeze, so I think he's completely do able and there's already a model import for him.

Hashirama is one I've wanted to do for a long time, I have so many wood-release effects I was planning on using for Madara back in the day and Hashirama would be epic to apply them to.

but for those who havne't played Darksiders or Darksiders 2 Death is such a versatile character and I'd be giving him an alterante form so long as jokekid could rig it up for me.

I like this little twist on a standard Brawl character, not a whole moveset alteration but taking a couple attributes and enhancing them creatively.  Hope to see some more stuff like this in the future or possibly an expansion upon this hack

If this is your "Project Thread" I recommend a couple things:
1.  Stop using the blue font I literally have to highlight it everytime just to make it readable
2.  Spice up the OP with probably an image of the current project maybe your Oot Ganondorf for example?
3.  You want a PSA'er I recommend you type up a full DETAILED moveset of all the moves this guy is going to have.
You do all this stuff and I'll tell you what I'll PSA a couple moves for you if you really have trouble with the specials, a really detailed smash attack or something to that effect.  Kagemaru is right though most standard moves are just very simplistic coding.

Indeed, well PSA work on the Down-Special is mostly done so I'm nearing completion.  I'm just waiting for somebody with some rigging skills to rig up the Blade of Olympus for me.


If you have any decent rigging/texturing skills please post here!  I could really use your help!!  Im srs here

Working on getting a couple possibly models as fall backs if the Zeus model cannot be ripped from God of War 2 so I could use some help rigging and importing those as well!

Going to go through and polish off some of the animations to make them look "cleaner" and start to balance the PSA, the limiters are in place on the Up-special (recharges upon touching the ground/Wait1) and the Down-smash (recharges upon double jumping).  I'm gonna go through and soften some of the hitboxes to make them slightly less lethal.  Last on my list I might give the lightning textures a little work and alter the N-B effects such as angling and size to give it some variation  Happy Face
