1  Welcome / Rules / Feedback / Brawl Vault / Re: Awards - Names, Descriptions, Complaints on: January 04, 2013, 06:39:27 PM
I am in need of the Dedicated Hacker award, as I have exceeded 10,000 downloads.

EDIT: Nevermind. It's there already.
2  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Marth over Giga and Company on: November 30, 2012, 07:52:30 PM
Sadly, it does not.

All 4 alloys share a single .rel file like the standard transforming characters(Samus + ZSS, Pokemon Trainer, etc), and Giga Bowser and WarioMan share a .rel with their respective counterparts.

Although Bowser and Wario can be .rel ported over, their Final Smash forms cannot be.
3  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Marth over Gigga & Company CSS Freeze on: October 29, 2012, 08:16:13 PM
Giga Bowser shares a .rel with Bowser, and the four alloys all share a single .rel, meaning they cannot be ported over with such means. Typically, if characters share a single .rel file, they cannot be .rel ported over.

While Giga Bowser and WarioMan cannot be .rel ported over, Wario and Bowser can, despite sharing a .rel with their Final Smash counterparts.

I will be needing the Ninja pin, please.

I have been online for more than 40 days and have far, far less than one thousand posts.
5  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Replace characters you don't like as much? on: October 23, 2012, 11:57:25 AM
^ Yep.

But don't forget that you should take both the .pac and .pcs costume files as well. Otherwise, training mode will freeze, and so will other one player modes.

There are also the FitRoyDark.pac and .pcs files and the FitRoySpy.pac and .pcs files that will need the "Roy" changed to "Fox" and put in the fighter folder as well.

The Dark.pac/.pcs is what replaces Fox's SSE maze clone. I don't recall what the Spy.pac/.pcs files do specifically, but I believe they help prevent freezing.
6  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Too many codes on: October 22, 2012, 10:41:11 PM
Do you have a text file called "gameconfig" in the root of your SD card?

That allows you to overcome the usual 256 code line limit because of what's written in it. Here's a link in case you don't have it.

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/62979271/gameconfig.txt

Not sure about codes being read from multiple locations, this is the first time I've heard of that.

The .rel files go in a folder called module.

The module folder goes in the pf folder, which is also where the fighter, stage, and sound folders are.

Actually, there is a semi-simple way to do just that.

It involves using some codes, an edited .rel file, and taking the Marth/Roy fighter folder contents and putting them into the folder of whomever you wish to replace.

The only catch is that there are some graphical hiccups if both movesets are present in the same match, and SFX issues.

As for things like their portraits and character select icons and whatnot, those would need to be replaced in the common5.pac and a few other places.

I actually have all of the things needed to .rel port Marth/Roy movesets in my Roy PSA download, as well as things like CSPs, and whatnot.

I can help you with it if it's too confusing.
9  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: problems with ike over ness and kirby on: September 20, 2012, 01:00:39 PM
Actually Kirby is a character that cannot be .rel ported over.

It probably has to do with how unique he is, because of his Kirby hats. At least that's the only logical conclusion I can draw from it. .__.

I've tried both Marth and Ike over him, but neither have resulted in anything except that horrible BEEEP 4 seconds after hovering the cursor over him.

luigiturd and foREVer are the same person. He's the same thief that's stolen my Roy PSA many times under many aliases. The ones I know of for certain are; RoyHatena, Roy16, luigiturd, and foREVer.

That villain would steal your nose in your sleep and try to claim it as his own if he could, but if these textures were truly never put out in the open before, even despite his tendencies, that does sound somewhat coincidental... .__.'

While we're on the topic of theft, Tomoking strikes yet again. This is the 3rd time since August 18th, and at least the 5th or 6th incident that I can recall where he's stolen something. Reports and deleting his thefts aren't going to stop him, his submission rights need to take a hike.

Pik's models again from here:
http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=25539

The PSA once again and this time all 6 of the Melee-ified recolours of Piks' old YoungLink from this:
http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=21634

There's an extra moveset.pac and Fitmotion in the download, but it's just vBrawl Link's moveset and animation file.

EDIT: It appears as though someone's taken care of it.
12  Welcome / Rules / Feedback / Brawl Vault / Re: Brawl Vault Problems, Updates, and Suggestions on: September 13, 2012, 07:14:36 PM
This is stolen from this.

Actually, I had just checked that, and it's different from the file I had made for Averruncus.

My file had only edited the D-Air's hitboxes. I had set the trajectory for all 4 of them to be 10E in PSA, which is directly angled downwards. OmegaS3's keeps the normal 10E and 118 trajectory hitboxes Marth normally has and changed the other two non-spiking hitboxes to also use the 118 trajectory - which is angled a bit to the left or right, as opposed to straight down.

Also, each move's hitlag was changed. Every hitbox on every attack uses the tip's amount of hitlag, eg. Jab1/Attack11's tip's hitlag was x1.25, and all of its hitboxes were changed to have x1.25 hitlag. F-Smash/AttackS4S's tip has x1.5 hitlag, so its other four hitboxes were changed to also have x1.5 hitlag, etc.

http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=28720&Moderated=All&facebook=true

The name initially implies that this is only a pack of textures by its creator, but after downloading it and checking, it contains twenty-four PSA's and with only the standard, ambiguous "credit to the makers of the movesets" as its way of showing 'credit'

There's no collabs, no credit, no text file listing the actual creators of the movesets or a link to their vault, zippo, nada, zilch, nothing.
14  Welcome / Rules / Feedback / Brawl Vault / Re: Brawl Vault Problems, Updates, and Suggestions on: September 07, 2012, 04:57:20 AM
Alrighty, I can now make use of 4shared, and with that note, I can guarantee this is not a new file.

I'll put a list of things in a spoiler tag in case anyone's curious, but the files contained within Tomoking's download are;

The moveset.pac and Fitmotion from this download;
http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=21634

And the models of this download;
http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=25539

It is now crystal clear that this was stolen.

I've typed out a comparison in case anyone else would care to compare it for themselves.
The PSA uses regular Link's bow and clawshot models. The clawshot can grab, but only up close and is a graphical mess otherwise. It also has a boomerang model that is styled like the OoT/Melee boomerang, and the arrow trace texture is red. The moveset.pac is 425KB.

It has the same rolling dash attack(which ends in his 3rd jab animation if A is held during the attack), F-Tilt(Which is Link's F-Tilt with a battering item), the has the same Attack100/rapid jab animation and only a single F-smash, but also has ToonLink's Wait animations, Taunts, and a few others. It also has an entry animation based on Link's from the original Super Smash Bros, in which he descends from the sky, bathed in light as he draws his sword. The Fitmotion is 2949 KB.

The fitmotion resizes the character model via the YRotN bone to make him 0.73 the size of regular Link, and that's also why there are some animations hiccups, like with his Up B on the ground, or even how his Wait1 animation doesn't have him bouncing up and down very naturally.

Although this same upload also claims to have a fixed grab, judging from the Youtube video preview, it can only grab close up as well. If Link is in the same battle, this PSA will call upon some of his SFX, due to not all of the SFX being remapped to only use ToonLink's as well. Even in his Win2 animation in the vid, that's clearly not the voice of a 10-12 year old boy.

http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=28655

I think something needs to be done about this user's uploading privileges. This is at least the 3rd or 4th time they've taken Pik's model and recolours and re-uploaded them without credit, collaboration or even any changes.

Pik's original recolours upload is here:
http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=25539

The only difference between the first upload I linked to in this post and this upload;
http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=28604

Is one single texture that can be found in this download judging by the leftmost preview picture; A Melee Young Link texture instead of one that is based on his LoZ:ALttP design.
http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=21055

I believe the PSA and Fitmotion may also be from the previous link, but I cannot download things from 4shared. I am certain that I have checked every other "Young Link" PSA on the Vault from previous instances of this person's thefts, but nothing seemed to match from what I recall otherwise.

They had also taken something of ASF1nk's from a few months ago, so that makes at least 4 or 5 times they've flat-out taken someone else's work.
