16  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Model Imports / Re: ShadowSnake's Imports: John Marston RELEASED, New POLL on: February 02, 2013, 11:07:17 PM
I saw your PM awhile ago, i guess i forgot to reply. Tongue

Anyways, the recolors look really good, the color schemes just seem to flow more y'know. I like how there is a bob-omb texture as well. You can release those whenever you feel like it, i am the chillest guy when it comes to my work being used, i admire it when people make recolors actually.

Done and done!

I sent you a PM a week or so ago too, lol.
I was just asking if I could release some recolors I made for Bombette. I also sent pictures of them to know what you think.

*scratches head*
Argh... If it's through PSA, it'd be nice if someone released SFX fixes for every character, at least for the hurt sounds. Are their any tutorials addressing this? I know absolutely nothing about PSA.
19  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: SouthCraft's Forest of Doom: This Year! Page 180 happy news! on: January 20, 2013, 02:24:24 AM
Hey man, I love your Knuckles over Jigglypuff. Real good stuff. The only gripe I have is that he stops dead in his tracks after he runs and doesn't a slide a bit like every other character, which makes running up for a sliding up smash a bit difficult.

Oh yeah. He seems to have glitches revolving around certain characters and items. For example, a Goldeen came out of a Pokeball while Knuckles was on-screen, and the Goldeen shrunk and slowed the game down. Then, when it disappeared, the game sped up to catch up with itself. A similar thing happens when Sonic & Knuckles are on the same screen. When Sonic uses his spring, the spring is invisible and the game slows down. I'm not sure what causes it. Hopefully, it can be fixed.

What surprises? I didn't hear about surprises!?

SJS, is there any reason Peach doesn't have a default red CPS for the newest pose? I've looked numerous times just in case it wasn't named right and I haven't been able to find it.

Here it is, dude.

It had "default" in the back instead of in the front like the rest.
21  Help & Tutorials / Help / Character SFX manipulation on: January 19, 2013, 09:37:25 PM
So, I noticed in Project M that they found a way to get the unused pain sounds to work, where the characters have different pain sounds depending on how hard they're hit like in Melee. Not only that, but they've also made characters say different voice clips for their attacks. For example, Mario always had one clip specifically for his up smash and another one specifically for his down smash in Brawl. Now, in Project M, he uses more than one voice clip at random every time he uses his up smash and down smash.

What I would like to know is... HOW THE HECK CAN I DO THAT?! Is it a code? Is it scripted in the character files? I wanna know how to do these things for regular Brawl!

Oh btw, this is what I made during the stream:

Awesome!
The only thing I think it needs is Mario opening his mouth as he's jumping for the star.
23  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: SDo0m's Dark Void: Small Taskmaster Preview+University related things on: January 15, 2013, 05:28:54 PM
I'm honestly not entirely sure.  The main thing that's holding it back as a whole is the fact that I can't use articles for the bombs which really restricts what I can do with him.  Also, I'm not a fan of how he plays at the moment in general.  My concept for his playstyle didn't really evolve quite how I wanted due to the fact that the bombs aren't articles.  So I guess I'd love to improve him but I can't in the way that I would ideally want to which is why I'm not really working on him for the time being.  Unless there's some big breakthrough in article modding I don't see myself returning to him.

In other news....no progress with anything.  Since I'm back to school and have exams and deadlines round the corner, my priorities have obviously been shifted.  Any free time that I've had for modding I've been spending on Project:M animations.

I understand. I'll hold off on my feedback then. I was just caught up in the moment because of how much potential I saw in Bomberman. I don't know the first thing about making PSAs, so I wouldn't be able to give you technical suggestions, only suggestions on how I think some of his moves should work.

I have one question concerning Viewtiful Joe, however. Is there a way to make it so that when Joe uses his slow-mo, it doesn't activate on any hittable object and only slows down the character he touches and not everybody? I really dislike the Timer item, and V. Joe basically has it inside of him (without the backfire).

I'll gladly do it myself if I had some instruction.

I would love for someone to teach me, SonicBrawler. How in the world do I get custom SFX to run on CFG USB Loader? I can get general hacks and codes to run, but I'm not sure what to do with my brsar file.
25  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: SDo0m's Dark Void: Small Taskmaster Preview+University related things on: January 13, 2013, 06:52:43 PM
Hey, I just recently got the urge to try out some PSAs for the first time, and the first one I try is Bomberman. I just wanna know. Do you plan on working on him again? I would like to give you my feedback if you want it, but considering how old the PSA is now, you probably already know what improvements to make on it. I'll wait for your reply.
26  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Need help running Brawl hacks on CFG USB Loader on: January 13, 2013, 06:26:00 PM
I made it myself. I based it directly on the old alpha build CSS of Project M.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cX1Wc1l3u8&feature=player_detailpage&list=PLB771DD508FD70009#t=195s

But yeah, for some reason, the CSS character icon I changed in common5.pac wasn't working, and to be honest, this is the first time I tried to use custom character portrait stuff with these codes.
27  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Riivolution question on: January 13, 2013, 03:22:02 PM
Oh, then no. You can use SFX without modding the console. You'd only have to mod the console if you were going to use USB Loaders, which can also run custom SFX. I'm in the process of learning how to do this myself... -_-
28  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Riivolution question on: January 13, 2013, 02:57:39 PM
You don't have to mod your Wii to run Riivolution, if that's what you're asking.

These tutorials should help you with setting it up if you need them.

Nah, it can't be the st file. The game loads normally. It's just that every time I go to "Group" then click "Brawl", the game crashes. The long beep noise. I'm almost fully convinced it's my code, but I'm completely lost as to what the problem with it is.

Post Merge: January 13, 2013, 03:41:49 PM
Okay...
Apparently, it wasn't the code. It was custom CSPs stuff I had in my hacks. Stuff is working through Gecko now.
I guess it wasn't my code after all...

Now I have to figure out why my CSPs weren't working...
30  Help & Tutorials / Help / Need help running Brawl hacks on CFG USB Loader on: January 13, 2013, 01:52:45 PM
Hey, folks. I'm trying to run my Brawl hacks on the CFG USB Loader. I'm able to load the game fine. I'm even able to run Project M flawlessly, but when I try to load my custom standard Brawl hacks that have always worked for me previously, the game crashes when I go to the character select screen. I'm guessing it has something to do with my Custom CSS code, but I have no idea what it is.

I can't even get them to work through Gecko like I normally do, whether it's through the Stage Builder exploit or the homebrew channel. I've never started having this problem until I started softmodding my Wii. After following all those steps to softmod my Wii so I could use USB Loaders, I have problems loading my hacks.

I'm fairly frustrated, and I could really use some help. Here are my codes if anyone can find something wrong in them.

Code:
