Just a heads up but if it comes with a FitMotionEtc. pac or a FitCharacter.pac (w/o any numbers) it would be wise to be put those in as well as they are often intended for the mod to look its best. Most hacks don't come with these, but these change a character drastically (some even change a character's moveset) and they aren't one-slot meaning they will affect all hacks associated with the aforementioned character.

You're using Gecko, right? You have to specify your launcher because different launchers use different properties to get the hacks into Brawl. Riivolution for example uses .xml files that account for a specific file configuration.

What .xml are you using? If you're using Riivolution, if you have problems with it, you must always specify your .xml as directory set-ups are different with each one.

advanced search the vault for "*for gecko*"
and locate the riivolution for gecko users
    XMLs go in
    SD:\riivolution\
with ANY NAME, whats INSIDE the XML determines the game its for

It's a file used to specify where to patch directories for Riivolution. If you open them with notepad, you can see where some of the files go.

Correct. If you want to use codes with your Brawl, you have to download the ocarina.xml though.
