So. My idea... create a Brawl Vault Homebrew app where users can browse for and download new textures (From Brawl Vault) to their SD cards directly from their Wii! Other options would be to delete existing textures/movesets and such, and view which costume each texture will be replacing.
Anybody else think this is a good idea?

I thought about that idea too, It may be difficult due to varying file sharing sites, wether if it's packed or an individual file. I would totally download if someone made that though.

This could work if all the hacks were hosted on the same site. But they're not.

I think they sould change BV to make it so that you upload the files directly to the site.

Pulling the BV file data and loading em to a dedicated host would be easy. Just gotta find a host everyone agrees on

And you know...
back converting 9000+ hacks by... standardizing naming and compression conventions... re-uploading to a single site...
and ya need someone to code the actual app.
It's not gonna happen --- its far too late in the game to do something like this unless someone is willing to do what I said up above.

Two words: SD-Explorer. You can use that to rename files...

Not worth the trouble, like picano said. Besides, a lot of downloads are inside .zip files and/or .rar files, which require a computer and the proper programs to read.

I may be wrong, but it seems like the Wii is constantly downloading and extracting files... like new apps and updates from the Homebrew Browser?

I think the real problem is that most of them are on Mediafire, which doesn't support direct-linking (because ads are their source of income) unless you get pro.
