I was wondering, could you make a guide for vertex hackers? I sure would like to make the characters I like (Bass.exe, Kratos Aurion, etc.) and it might be better if I just did it myself. Any tips?

If you check out Aafyre's opening post, there's a link to a vertexing guide by Miacis Kusanagi. You could also try going to either the help boards or, better yet, the tutorials and guides section. There are a lot of good vertex hacking guides there.

I didn't forget your Orochimaru Ninja_Cupcakes, I just thought that it was a texture of a different vertex (thought it was based on the old Sephiroth vertex) instead of a completely original vertex. Anyway, sorry if I misunderstood that.
All it used was the Sephiroth's hair

i just have one question aafyre. and that question is: are u studying sumthing related to 3d modeling? cuz they look just too pro... xD also the textures always come out rly clean i admire that, as with heavy vertexes, it gets more dificult to texture using brawl's maps... so i guess ur using sumthing to paint on the model?
i must just say i admire ur work, and that ur totally awesome...

Well, I do have a bachelor's degree in Digital Media, which involves some 3D Modeling. In college, we used Maya and not 3DS Max but the basics are pretty much the same. As for the textures, I don't do anything special outside of using Photoshop and a lot of trial and error to get the textures in the right places. I try to find as many reference images I can from google and sometimes try to use parts of those images for the textures. For example, I copy pasted a lot from Nomura's Final Fantasy VII Sephiroth drawing for his coat texture.

I'm going to apply for a bachelor's eduction here in the netherlands for the coming schoolyear, I'm really worried about the entrance test aleready while it's so far away, (15 feb). The eduction I'm aiming for is Game Artist.
I'm starting to pick up vertex hacking trough the guide you linked, hopefully I'll get my first vertex hack up soon.
Btw, regarding to the topic of having a poll with things you want to do, I kinda doubt you will eventually do all the options in the poll, I know it's nice to grant people these things but making stuff you aren't 100% motivated for is going to show up in your work. So my advice is just focus on doing the models you want to and not what the fans want to.
Sorry for bad grammar & spelling, english isn't my main language.
