Okay, so I can start up Brawl just fine, but when I get to the Css/Sss it either freezes or I get a message saying the disk could not be read. The disk has no smudges or scratches. It happens both with and without hacks. my other games seem to work just fine. any help here?

It may not seam like it, but the game is broken. But lets just make sure.

Dose it ever go to a blue error screen with something saying like "#002 error"

or always go to a light green screen saying disk could not be read?

If it truly is broken you will have to buy a new or used one.  Undecided

Nintendo also dose replacements for just $15-$5, depending on the game.

If your a cheep-o (like me) you could buy a used disk from GameStop and then return your broken disk and keep the one you bough and get all your money back.  Awesome Face

you have been through a lot of hassle. I've watched every topic you posted on this, and most of them seemed to disintegrate gradually.
But the coolest part was that you didn't stop working on it despite that.

    Anyway, @PlasmaKirby
Simpler: When your Wii freezes, dose it say "disk could not be read"?

edit: i typed "[censored]" instead of "disk".. sorry bout that...

Does it say the disk cannot be read when you go to the disk channel. If it does, your Wii's laser may have stopped reading double layered disks. You can fill out a form and send your Wii back to Nintendo and they will fix it for free and have it mailed back within a week. I forget where you can find the form, but I hope this helps.
