I try to make a vertex for the hilt of marth's sword. Now, there are more polygons in vertex-set 30. apparently two of these are the hilt he's holding but also the hilt in his hand. I chose for the hand (59), but after editing it's just messed up, in a way you'd say you need to double patch. That didn't work either. I triple-patched, even quadruple-patched . It didn't get really worse, but not better too. Anyone know a fix?

I've heard that that happens with his sword hilt. It needs to be patched a lot.

I patched it about 10 times, and i think it kinda loops. This messed up version showed up a few patches before it exactly the same: I seems to be turned a tiny little bit. It needs to be a standard hilt (rectangle) , with a long handle and the thing below the handle needs to be a tiny block... Any ideas?

I edited marths sword a few times quite extremely.. like turning it into a katana thing is people don't understand that the "patching" trick is only used for moving bodies. props don't really have animating bones, so are static props basically. so don't need need patching. you should use the old vertex method on all props. you can still use the model technique to morph on faces for easier reshaping.. but don't mod any props imported from AIS. wont work. I'm surprised you got that much working on the sword by patching....

Never thought someone would still pay attention to this!
Anyway, I thought about giving up on the project, but I will try it again. Thanks!

Yep, and I know that was probably the problem, but I don't know whih one affects this. Edit: Here's a list of the polygons I deleted:

Actually, I do (which was a surprise for me). So, are you going to tell me to just check which one causes it by removing one vertex per one and test it?
