I usually spend a whole day just making textures, so I think they are fun to make.

So I just wanted to know if you guys make texture for fun or for someone to notice you ??

And I like making textures (the most) for   Link, Marth, ToonLink and   Falco.

it lost its fun for me a while ago. i'll still do a texture now and then (to make some updates for PN), but its just tedious anymore. the songs are more fun IMO, but now even that is automated. I liked the challenge of old school hexing and stuff, but now, there's no use of doing it like that, and i'm not a great artist so i have nothing to challenge me.

but if i do a texture, most likely i will do it on wario because he is most fun to do stuff on.
He can be ANY superhero or villain. he is perfect for textures that are meant to be funny (like my riddler or robin)

Anything that can be transparent is fun to me. There's lots of possibilities like with Peach/Zelda's dress and minor things like Snake and Ike's Hair.

I love doing these character's textures: (Easy to spot what is what)

      &

I hate doing these character's textures: (WTF is that thing?)

I've had my ups and downs when modifying textures.  Characters like Yoshi, Sonic, and Lucario are rather easy to edit.  However, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong can be a pain, due to their overdose of indexed textures.  I've also done two Toon Link textures, but only on one texture part though.

At first I was confused about Wolf when I always saw black spots on the back of his head.  The key to fixing that problem up is to remove the transparency on the back of his head.

Anyway, I'm mostly good with recolors, but I have been able to edit Kirby so that he has the colors of Plusle and Minun.  Likewise, my most recent Fox texture has different colors on the boots, jacket, and headgear.

Regarding failures, I tried to give Jigglypuff's sleep hat the appearance of Bomb Kirby's cap, but the hat disappears whenever I used any texture slot except for FirPurin02.  And since the Bomb cap is meant for the blue team, I had to ditch that texture.  Also, I tried to edit Kirby's Mario cap so that it resembled the Flying Mario cap, but the texture got messed up whenever you're not zoomed in on Kirby.

I've only made 1.5 character textures, and only on Toon Link. So I guess it's Toon Link. XD I do enjoy making stage textures more, though. Since there are less of them than character textures, the chance of people downloading them is much greater. Plus I find them easier, lol.

i would say i enjoy making textures but sometimes they get me frustrated and mad and then i hate them.thats why i have two ash folders so whenever one texture get boring or frustrating i can just move to another one. I dont have specific characters that i only do, but i use the character that best fits the idea i have and thats always random. Although i do find some textures much easier to edit than others.

I just started texture hacking in July and so far I like changing bowser because its so simple and there isn't many files.  I Don't texture hack every day, so far I've done one every two weeks because I get bored and decide I don't want to do it for a while.  But then people have been giving me good ideas for textures and I'll get around to making/finishing them sometime (as soon as I figure out how to give diddy shorts).

Lol, I don't keep my textures in my ASH folder. Well, I can't. I can only use ASH on my mom's XP since I have a Mac, and I hardly ever get a chance to. I just keep all my stuff on a flash drive. Actually... Now I'll be able to use ASH all I want, since I'm moving in with my boyfriend (I'm in the airport right now, lol), and he has Windows on his Mac using Boot Camp. So that means... MOAR TEXTURES FRUM ME!! Well, if I have time, that is... XD
