    So like... I haven't been here in a while... You haven't released a Ridley's lair stage version without Ridley in it have you?

    Aside from that... That stage is ok. Not my cup of tea tbh, but its nice.

    Its 'ok' to me because its basically the flying part of Halberd without the trouble of landing...

    Because its not a newly created stage, I'm personally not all that interested in it, but since its well crafted (the background DOES look nice) its 'ok'

    Not trying to offend, its just my personal preference.

    Also, could you explain (perhaps in a PM) How I could get dolphin and stuff... I'd  probably play Brawl a lot more if I didn't have to mess around on my wii. (I'll probably suck a lot more as well but I'm pretty much in it for quick and easy testing)

    Oh, I hope you don't think I'm keeping the Halberd platform, because I'm not. It's just there as a placeholder so I have something to [censored] around on while I test.

    And, I mean, it's hard to come up with "original" ideas since basically every idea ever made has been used. If it has three platforms, it's a Battlefield rip-off, if it has one moving platform it's a Smashville, if it has none it's another Final Destination, etc. But I'll try to keep it fresh in some way.

    As for Dolphin, I suppose I could try to regather my memories of getting Dolphin (because I don't particularly remember how I set it up myself) and PM you sometime tomorrow.

    I did have a thought though.

    Take that halberd stage, cut it in half, move the above platform to below the solid platforms, double THAT platform's length, and have the halberd platforms (not cut in half) move in some kind of fashion. Not enough to disrupt fluid gameplay... but maybe have them move apart and away slowly while the platform under the stage ... I dunno... makes its way in and out of the picture... sometimes showing up above the other two platforms.

    Did that make sense?  Since the background is moving a lot... why not have an equally exciting stage to play on. But not have it move so much to where its hazardous to one's health.

    And if the background is all you were looking for feed back on, it looks great. Just animate that ship thingy... maybe some fake lasers shooting at the stage (that miss obviously) and you're golden.

    Like I said, I wasn't planning on keeping the Halberd platform, but I think I know what you're saying...? It sounds interesting, I'll try to keep it in mind. Since the background itself is moving, I figured it would be a good idea to have a ship-like platform that would look like it was moving itself, something similar to Lylat Cruise, though I have no intentions of stealing that and plopping it in obviiously.

    And as far as the ship goes, it'll be animated to an extent. Though the ship itself is less important than what it transforms into, and that will be what gets animated.

    Guess I should update this every once in a while, huh...



    I'm pretty sure he'll be over Captain Falcon. Proportions fit, decent file size... plus, I'll more likely than not be able to give him a moving kerchief and shoulder pads, and hopefully a tail.

    Right now I'm at the refining stage, so I'm fixing little issues here and there. He's at 14k verts right now, but optimizing him gets him down to a tidy 7.6K while retaining pretty much all of the definition, so yeah.

    Also, Velen is texturing him, so stay tuned for that. :O

    gotta make the missing stuff by hand xD
