BrawlWall Corruption and Stuff

I'm using BrawlWall for the first time, and I hear it has a tendency to corrupt files. If it corrupts, how do you go about getting around it? Do you just restart from scratch, open it up and save it again? What?

You edit til your heart content then use it as a reference  when you apply the same changes in brawlbox
