You can use SDHC cards with Riivolution, i think. Can you still copy the files on your ruined SD card to your comp? Wouldn't want to lose anything. :/

Well I use Smash Stack. Also, yeah I already did that. I also have a back-up on my 16GB flash drive, but it's not really that recent.

Uhh... .wad? Channel? Is this is something you put on your Wii? I'm not too fond of putting third party stuff like that onto my Wii.

I guess I'll just have to buy a new one :\

What do you mean 3rd party stuff gecko is 3rd party stuff. practically all apps you download are 3rd party

Yes but that's on my SD card and not on my actual console. Funny too how my SD card started acting weird after I put that stuff onto it. Same could happen to my Wii but that's why I chose Smash Stack because it's better my SD card takes the bullet than my actual Wii, and it did just that as you read in this topic. This is exactly why I don't trust hacking.

Oh really? So it doesn't have to be an actual channel? Explain.

^Yeah, it's like Gecko, all you need is the boot.elf and such...... But after you launch it through SS you can install it's channel. You don't have to install it though.

He edited his post after I posted that so don't yell at me because he edited that after my post so I didn't know -_-

Also, in that post he said this: "But after you launch it through SS you can install it's channel." then he says "You don't have to install it though." -- that's contradicting what I have bolded in the first sentence.

wiiexploer doesn't install it too wii it stays on sd in apps folder
Here's mine if thathelps before you go buying something

Just to be clear, you load up Smash Stack through Stage Builder like usual, but instead of Gecko I'll get Riivo? Can I remove all my Gecko stuff on my root then? And this won't put a new channel on my console?

Yup, you can remove it all and it won't install a channel unless you want it. . And I was tryin' to say that the channel was optional, but i failed there, I guess.
    And HERE.

To install Riivolution, extract the apps folder from the download onto an SD card and run Riivolution from the Homebrew Channel. Bannerbomb can also be used.

Where's the instructions on how to run it from Smash Stack?

Why don't you just put it on homebrew rather then running everything on smashstack

    Same reason I explained here.

^You just put the boot.elf file in the root of your SD same as gecko, then launch it, you don't really need any instructions.

Oh well I already have a boot.elf file, but it's Gecko's. I just replace that with Riivo's boot.elf, and remove my gameconfig.dat/txt, and stuff?
