I was trying a new .PMD importer script for 3DS max 8, and when I used it, it gave me an error telling me I needed to fix an option for it to work.

I fixed it, and the program ran normally. I shut down 3DS so the option would take place. When I reopened it though, the startup screen comes up, and the program opens, but then automatically closes with an error message, asking if I would like to report this to autodesk.

I removed all brawl-related plugin's and scripts, but to no effect. Has anyone else had this problem? Sad

Try uninstalling and re-installing 3dsMax... And select 'clear log and configuration settings' when promted (this can make all the difference).

Backup your scenes somewhere first though, because I'm not sure if they get cleared aswell Undecided

Any way this can be done WITHOUT uninstalling 3DS?
