Unfortunately, Mario Sports Mix uses a compression method that's different from most other compression methods; LZ77, Yaz0, CPK, AFS, etc..
RandomTBush did make the statement that you would have to get the models through memory dumps, which is also the only option for TMNT: Smash-Up.
You see, the compression method that Mario Sports Mix uses is unique in that the file sizes of the ISO's compressed files are always divisible by 32 bytes; offset 0x20.
RVLution forum member, Treeki, did give me a decompressor script for Mario Sports Mix, but it's incomplete; the script crashes with certain files.
Anyway, I've been trying to get people involved in cracking this compression, but so far, my efforts have been freezing cold. Step 1 would be to make a complete decompressor; step 2 would be to recreate the unusual compression method.
For some good news, when the files are decompressed, they are viewable with the SZS Modifier, but it's most likely safer if you use a hex editor to replace textures. You can also use BrawlBox to read the decompressed BRRES files, but some of the compressed files are actually containers, which hold BRRES files, or TPL files.
