I'm new around here, so I don't know much. I'm even uncertain I should post this topic here.
Anyways, I'm having a bit of trouble with riivolution. the thing is: I heard that the only way to hear customized SFX on brawl is to run the game through Riiv. I did all I needed to do concerning downloading, instalation and stuff. But I need Riiv to run the ocarina codes on my SD, thing it ain't doing. I even downloaded the codehandler.bin and the ocarina.xml files I needed to download in order to make Riiv compatible with ocarina codes. I'm certain i've placed the codehandler.bin and the ocarina.xml files in the correct place, because, when I start Riivolution, I have the option to enable ocarina, and to choose the hooktype. When I start the game, my hacks don't show up, even though I enabled the ocarinas. Can you guys help?

    What codes are you using?
    File Patch Code (PW)
    Replays Longer than 3 minutes
    Unrestricted Camera
    Colored Shields
A few IC-Constant codes and sound mods.
They aren't the problem, though, as i'm able to use them normally on Gecko OS.

I merely asked because I figured you may not have had the File Patch code.

What version of the File Patch code do you have?

Also (and this may or may not help, it may depend on your .xml) try renaming your .gct to Riivolution.gct

The file patch code is not something that you use in a program that does the exactly the same thing without the need of a code. Use Beyond's Riivolution XML: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=16990

I'm using the file patch code version 3.5.1

I'm still using the file patch code with Riivolution because Riiv did not recognise the ocarinas.
I've kept the file patch code so I could use with Gecko OS, in the meantime.

Try taking out the file patch code... Riivolution doesn't need it.... If you have the code, and you're using Riivolution, it can bring about some undesired effects... Get rid of the code, and try that... Also, try switching to Beyond's Riivolution in the link that MANSTA8 provided above.

"All right, it worked now. Guess I should thank you all plus Beyond eh? xD
    Thanks, guys"

EDIT: Whoops, said it too soon. I can see the strap loader, all right, but my other hacks are not showing. Is there something else to do? (File renaming, program downloading, file creating)?

Hmmm... When you said you did all you needed to do with "installing and stuff"... What exactly did you mean? What programs are you using? And did you follow the "Read Me" that came with Beyond's Riivolution exactly as it's written so you know how the file paths should be set up?

I meant downloading the codehandler.bin, the ocarina.xml, Riiv, and installing on my wii (Too lazy to always go to HBC). I did follow the readme from beyond.
I compared the files from Beyond and mines, and found out the what I was missing was the hooktype, but, still, nothing. Only changes is that: Now I can see my strap loader + Custom Music.
I searched around a bit, and found something interesting: "In order to run ocarinas on Riivolution, you must put the .gct on another folder".
In this site that I saw such info, there was no diretory (ex Root/private/wii [...]), anyone knows something?
Also, I heard that the commonx.pac files must be renamed to commonx_EN.pac. True?

EDIT: okaaay... I found out that the ocarina codes go to (SD->private->wii->app->RSB(?)->pf).
Loaded everything perfectly, EXCEPT for my CSPs. When I go to the charming Brawl button, and press it, the game freezes (death sound).
I tested those CSPs on Gecko OS, they worked perfectly, Riiv, it freezes when i'm about to enter the CSS.
I did take out the File Patch code from Phantom Wings.
I did rename the file to sc_selcharacter_en.pac
    Any way to solve this?

You put the sc_selcharacter_en.pac in common5.pac if you use riivolution and if your csp's freeze it HAS TO BE 128X160 MAX

    They are 128x160.
common5.pac goes to system or menu2? Shouldn't it be renamed to common5_en.pac? And, what if it still freezes? As I said before, I tested all my CSP's on Gecko and they all worked.
