    So I was rigging a model, and I export it as a .DAE to test and exit out of 3DS Max 8. Now the next time I open it and anytime after if I start trying to do something it says
    CoCreateInstance() failed
    Please check your refistry entries
    CLSID {F088EA74-2E87-11D3-B1F3-00C0F03C37D3} and make sure you are logged
    in as an administrator
    Any help? This also happened after I downloaded a student version of 3DS max 2010 if it helps any

    Corrupt registry value? Try googling the error and see what you get.

    Ok now it says
    The procedure entry point
    (There's a bunch of strange characters here)
    could not be located in the dynamic link libary .splash.dlll.
