I know for a fact that the vast majority of the public here cares more about free products than actual quality.
I mean, we're kinda modding an old Wii game after like 6 years, instead of buying new stuff. That's pretty telling. Tongue

What are you using AiS for?

If you're using it to get bones for your imports, don't. They don't work.

The most you can use AiS for is Vertexing, because that's what it was made for. Importing and Vertexing both have different advantages and disadvantages though

jokekid told me to export the .dae with Ais for 3DS Max 8 because if I did with BB it looked weird.I can't seem to export/import them well...

Shouldn't Ais be included in the resources section? It0s very difficult so I think it should be here so it's easier to find...

Hmm. I wonder what version of BB Jokekid is using? The older ones don't export DAEs as well.

Also, the OpenCollada DAE importer for 8 doesn't work as well, from my experience.
Max 2010-2011 is the best for importing.

Lastly, no one actually ever expected to need to use AiS after Model Importing came out, which is why it's so hard to find. If you really want it in the resources section, you could take it up with one of the mods.

Well,I have 3DS Max 2010 as well,it's the one I was gonna use,but then jokekid told me to use 8 to import .dae's and export them as .max files.I'm using FBX plugin for importing. If I export with BrawlBox it ends up as a bone cross, could I fix is in any way? That happens in 2010

I used to use 8 and 2010 at the same time like Jokekid, but I never got it to work perfect. I eventually just used 2010 by itself.

I'm pretty sure that the 2011 DAE plugin is the most compatible to import DAEs. You can use the 2011 plugin with 2010 Max.

Also, using the most up to date BB to export would work.

But how can I install 2011 plugin on 2010? It'll sure say it can't find anything in
Programs (x86)\Autodesk\3DS Max 2011 or something like that...
