What is your forte and why?

I've wanted to ask for a while, but what do you guys hack and what made you choose it?

try som'in new since I failed at making skins and model editing. A Naruto animation sounded fun to try. I made the animation (Mind you this was before mod set was out) and turned out really good. And was fun like I thought and look where I'm at today with my kit and cerebella animations XD

Would you like to animate something that means more to me than anything I've ever released?

I just make CSPs.

Why did you choose to make CSPs? Were the ones being made not how you felt they should be?

After messing around with Action Replay on Melee, I really wanted to be part of Brawl hacking from the beginning. I remember BigSharkZ helped me learn how to make textures with that 'ash' method back when that was started. I always wanted to have Dark Samus in the game, so I think (I might be wrong, but...) I ended up making the first Dark Samus texture hack of any kind. Of course, it was basically just a dark gray-ish Samus with a blue visor and little blue dots on the shoulder armor, but I still enjoyed that. I never did much, but I also wanted to put my own music into the game, which I've converted a few of my old outdated tracks into BRSTMs, but nothing very good.

@ SJS Are you the very best?
@ Mochtroid  Sounds like you've been here for a long time. I never even heard of an ash method. Nor did I know Melee could use Action replays.

Well, it doesn't seem quite as amazing with the hacks we have now, but back then, being able to play as Giga Bowser and on all the Target Test and other 1P stages was so fun. I never did quite figure out all of the Debug Menu.

ash was basically a folder where you put it in your program files, then insert a PAC and it opens all of the textures. You edit them, then when you're done, it converts them back into the PAC file. In fact, I specifically remember that you couldn't edit any texture files with +1 or +2 in the name without hexing them manually, which I never bothered to learn, but now Brawl Box does all of that for us.

Hmm, sounds complicated. I don't know anything about texturing though. I fuse PSAs for now and intend on becoming a fulltime PSAer when I get a computer. That way I'll have time to learn and experiment as much as I want. The reasoning behind me wanting to do that is more out of... Hmm. Well I have ideas that I can't trust anyone to get perfect aside of myself. I have certain ways that I think a character should feel and no one else seems to notice it. Prime example being the Sephiroth PSA, when I get better I'm going to make one that feels accurate to how one would expect Sephiroth to play. Then there are also Sora PSAs that all feel wonky in their own ways. I plan to fix things that I feel are out of place as well as to create new and interesting PSAs for characters no one else has bothered to bring into Brawl. My top priority for now being Vaati.
