I am currently working on a texture on Ganondorf. His hands have +2 on them. I cannot figure out how to index +1 or +2 with GIMP. Can someone tell me how?

    Hey, it's Mochtroid.

    Image > Mode > Indexed

    Since it's a +2, there's a limit on color.

I'm only making his hands one color, so is there a simple way to do that with GIMP?

TIP: You can't use GIMP on Ganondorf's hands unless you are willing to manually to manually hex (or SSBBarc) the images into the pac.

    (Ash is simply not compatible)

Although you can index character portraits with The GIMP, most indexed textures have to be indexed through Photoshop.  Sorry.
