While Stages have their own soundbanks (Expansion stages don't seem to load any), you'd have to figure out what calls the SFX, which is likely in the stage module.

    yay... .rel's... -.- perfect...

btw yea i realize that what i said before (crowd cheers and stuff) is wrong... :/ but i am working to get rid of them the right (but long and tedious) way... umm... btw... if i wanted to release this (no crowd cheer)... umm... how would i go about doing that? o.o

would i release it as a sfx? but aren't those like Sawnd stuff? not .bnk? i guess we start by just doing it? or do you think the brawl vault staff people should make a seperate thing for this before getting into it too far?

Okay so I did get this to work. IT was a very stupid mistake on my part. I was putting the sfx in  the folder

    - private/wii/app/RSBE/pf/sound/sfx
    instead of
    - private/wii/app/RSBE/pf/sfx

But the only issue is that it doesnt work when i use dolphin's gecko cheats. However it works when i use winimage with ocarina cheats.

mkay... well i hit a freeze... someone tell me what i did wrong... (i'm new to sfx so be nice)
put the code in using gct analyzer... got a fresh smashbros_sound.brsar opened it in brawl box... replaced every crowd chant i could find (in each characters bank) with silence .wav files... i noticed in the download for super soundz that there was already a .wav file made that was silent... so that's the file i used to replace everyone's crowd chant with... anyway i saved the .brsar using bb68b by the way... then i opened the .brsar in super soundz and clicked every character name (since that is where the crowd chants are located) and hit the export .bnk button... put them in a folder called "sfx" inside pf... threw the sd card in my wii... got all the way to picking a stage and right when i chose a stage... it froze...

    what did i do wrong?

Replace the sounds using Super Sawndz and not BrawlBox. I can't guarantee BrawlBox compatibility because I have no idea how it handles the brsar.

I used a super smash bros crusade announcer call but it freezes the game. But other people got them to work...

It doesn't matter where you keep the brsar.
soundconv.exe is part of the Nintendo SDK and so I'm not allowed to provide directions on where to find it.

ok so.. i did get the files i needed... i replaced the sfx that i wanted with the silence .wav file included in the super sowndz download... made the .bnk file threw it in the sfx folder... and tried playing... and the exact same thing happened as before... a freeze right when i chose a stage... -.-

    any ideas?

    Post Merge: July 26, 2013, 04:26:09 PM
sorry for the post merges... but i get everything working perfectly now... it was how i put my codes in i guess... (i hate codes so much you don't even know) there is literally no difference in the gct that didnt work and the gct that does work now... other than the order in which they appear... yea hate codes... so much... umm anyway yea be expecting a "no crowd cheer" hack to come out soon (unless something else goes wrong)... -.-
