    The "True" PSA hack series is designed to provide each and every character with a moveset that is 100% faithful to their in-game abilities, while maintaining a sense balance.

    Let's be fair; Smash Bros. is arguably the GREATEST gaming experience available. However, there's no denying that there are simply some things Sakurai got wrong. But through the magic of PSA hacking, we can make Brawl the game it should have been!

    Most likely, I will NOT be making this hack for any other version of Brawl but PROJECT M. Seriously... Why would you hack this game and NOT play Project M? IF enough people complain, I MIGHT just reconsider. MAYBE. Don't count on it though.

    ^ There's Project M. Seriously; download it. Instead of making me do all the work of coding/releasing alternate versions, do YOURSELF a FAVOR and download Project M. See? Everybody wins.

    This is the next hack in the "True" series! Now this is a hack built for TRUE Kirby fans! Those familiar with the series will certainly appreciate the changes I've made here to Meta Knight. Each change is based entirely on the attacks and actions Meta Knight performs in all of his games.

    - Change List -

    SIZE MODIFICATION
    In the Kirby universe, Kirby is said to be about 8 inches tall. Meta Knight and Kirby are both apart of the same species. In other words, he'd be the same height as Kirby; in any case, he looks too large in Brawl.
     
    JUMPS
    Meta Knight now has lyk 7 jumps, but the trick is his jump height is much worse. What I wanted to do was give him lyk 20 quick-jumps with even less jump height, but PSA won't let me do that for some reason... I'll figure it out soon. His mid air jump animation has been changed too; now he looks upwards as he flies.

    RUN
    Run animation has been changed. The idea of gliding as a dash sounds cool and all, but A) it's not what Meta Knight does in his games and B) this new animation looks really, really cool.

    JAB
    Meta Knight's jab is just stupid in Brawl. I've changed it to reflect a move he had in Kirby Super Star but now that I've seen what Meta Knight does in Return to Dream Land I'm probably gonna change this...

    DOWN TILT
    This move now has forward momentum like int he games.

    BACKWARD AERIAL
    The animation has been changed. It's not actually something Meta Knight does in any game... it's based off of a Galactic Knight animation.

    DOWNWARD AERIAL
    The startup lag has increased, and the speed has decreased. I'm trying to make the move stop in the air upon startup.

    - List of known bugs -
    Run animation slightly buggy. Slightly.
    Jab GFX not connect to sword... no big deal.
    Jab hitbox is a little wonky right now.

    I'm happy to say that this is an amazing re-working of metaknight! I have a mega compilation of Project M 2.6 were I have added a whole bunch of textures and graphical elements to brawl. In the long and short your hack impressed me enough to make it into this. Everyone who gets regular updates of my compilation will know of your work Smiley Ill be sure to sight you.

    @SonicBrawler - Orly? Each to his own I suppose, and I'll probably be making a standard Brawl Version soon. Well... not soon. Soon-ish. Maybe. Were you a Melee fan too?

    After playing Project M I literally CAN'T go back to normal Brawl, haha. I was playing it recently and it felt just awful without L-canceling... or competitive gravity... or quicker attack speed...

    I'm checking out your hack right now, it looks really interesting. In the end, my "True" series is actually going to culminate in a hack pack a lot similar to this one.

    I had my own idea for a True Meta-Knight, but never finished it cause I ran out of ideas.

    Rather than simply draw from the games, my idea would borrow from both the games and who Meta Knight is as a character....Thing is I know nil about PSA programming, and my animation is rusty.

    yeah. i lvoed melee. bette rthan brawl imo. but brawl is brawl adn melee is melee. its not like they had a child or anyhting. but yeah. i wasnt for competetive, so thats probally why im not into PM.

    I'm believe we have similar aims with our packs Smiley I would be more than happy to put every one of your PSA's in as long as they don't mess around too much with the balance of Project M Smiley I started my pack for fun and when my buddies enjoyed it I released it to everyone! I look forward to seeing what you come out with Cheesy I'll test your Ike PSA soon! Do you regularly update your PSA's?

    Bair has a really deceptive animation and sword trail. It looks like it should be predominantly hitting in the front, even though it actually hits behind him like any normal Bair. I really liked PM's Bair a lot more, since it was so much more useful with its larger coverage and kill power, so I'd either try to tailor the new animation to the old properties or just scrap the new bair altogether. Also, I recommend allowing you to infinite jab with MK again, since the new jab seems exactly like it should be an infinite loop. 7 jumps is ridiculously fun, and new run is great.

    Yes, the sword trail on his BAir is wonky. You see... Meta Knight doesn't have a traditional "Sword glow" feature like Ike or Link. When you set Sword Glow to their attacks, a trail follows behind the sword and the blade glows. HOWEVER with Meta Knight, Sword Glow simply makes the blade glow; the expected "glow trail" is absent, and so the trail is set by "external graphics". In order to make the glow more natural looking, I have to be creative in using external GFX for moves which already exist; I plan on making the sword glow more natural by changing the X Rotation, but this will take trial and error.
    As for the rest of your comments on the BAir, A) even P:M's balanced Meta Knight is still a really good character, so a slightly nerfed move isn't that big of a deal, B) as a kill move it's probably more fitting that it has more strategic range, it's REALLY fast for a killer so the trade-off is balanced and finally C) you mentioned that P:M's BAir has more kill power: I changed virtually nothing about the move's damage properties. It's a killer all the same.
    The animation of this new BAir looks unique compared to his other moves; the old BAir was really, really similar to everything else in MK's moveset. I like to think the new animation adds a little character to Meta Knight.

    Also, I recommend allowing you to infinite jab with MK again, since the new jab seems exactly like it should be an infinite loop.
    The initial release was gonna have this straight the get-go. For some reason EVERYTHING I've tried simply WILL not work. =_= Trust me, it'll be added soon.

    7 jumps is ridiculously fun, and new run is great.
    Just wait until I get the 20 jumps working!! In fact, I may even add more! xD
    That run IS really sexy, coolest part of the whole piece if I do say so myself.

    I love this hack! Mostly for the run and the jumps. The down a attack makes him slide, is this on purpose? Also Metaknight still looks a little glitchy and so Im gonna keep him out of the pack until hes more stable Smiley Some people commented about it thats all. Would you be willing to send me a version of your metaknight with the jumps animation (and 7 jumps) and run animation tweaked and thats all?
