    In my opinion, paint.net is the easiest and probably the best program to edit stage textures. That's what I use after all :p

    Yeah I'mma go redo the logo thing. I'm also having a hard time with making the flowers vanilla/beige but I could make them charcoal instead.


    If hue doesn't work, try transparent recoloring. Grab the pallet found in the op and extract the beige color using the color picker tool in the paint.net, create a second layer to the texture you are editing.

    Then go to the colors windows and expand "more", go to transparency-alpha and lower the transparency (the level of it its dependent of you). look at the top toolbar, see that search thingy that says "solid color"? well next to it you see a line and a half full chemistry bottle, empty that bottle (ovewrite).

    Click the rectangle select tool and make a square on the second layer to a flower, then Click the paint bucket tool and begin coloring the second layer, since the're is nothing on the second layer, the whole thing will receive an  orange layer. If it looks wrong, tweak the transparency level and try again.Once you are done repeat to the rest of the flowers and then erase any imperfection (try zooming in).

    Finally, merge the layers and done!


    It all may seem complicated at first, but its actually quite easy. Hue is great and all, but it has a defect and that is, if the color is black/grey/white, it cannot transform it. Transparency layer is the solution for this problem, and I use it all the time. Hope this helped!
    I should write a tutorial for this with pictures and everything...

    Hm, I usually just stick with gimp or gamemaker.

    I actually use Photoshop CS5 - it was required for a lot of my classes, so I've gotten pretty used to it. It has a feature called adjustment layers that lets you modify the layers below it with sliders for hue, saturation, lightness, brightness, contrast and a lot more - it's incredibly handy for recoloring things, and it lets you mask off areas you don't want affected. Combine that with its layer blending modes and effects, and you can get pretty much any effect you want for things like this if you play around with it long enough.

    I should write a tutorial for this with pictures and everything...

    That's not a bad idea - I know a lot of people don't have Photoshop because it's pricey (I wouldn't have come close to affording it without the education discount) but it could be useful to anyone who does happen to have it...

    For now I took out the logo and I thought about putting it in front of the vines but it'll look super fake if I did that. I guess we don't need in it ingame as long as I use it as one of the preview pics? Anyways looks good right?

    I did zero suit samus, before I upload this does anyone has anything to say about it?



    Also I can't do samus cause I use pm's hackless method and my wii's unmodded. Also there a 3rd texturedata file for the stuff with samus's suit (the pieces in brawl and her entrance/pop in) I'll appreciate it when someone do samus they also do the suit pieces  for my zero suit samus so we can match. Who here does have access to the un-release chars?
