    I don't get why it was purple in melee in the first place. They could have just used his normal costume as his blue like they did with Marth. Also Taiko, Love the render link.

    I like the purple cape, as well, but feel that his 00 slot should use his actual colors (which, in my opinion, also includes teal armor), so the blue cape is a good choice. I think his Melee/Project M colors made a nice blue team costume, though.

    I like the progress chart, and Falco and Bowser are looking awesome!

    ...In the first place, Roy in Melee was a lower-than-average character. Which, from a competitive standpoint means he was basically unusable. Which from a Melee (and therefore competitive standpoint) means he was unusable.

    And? Roy in FE6 was lower than average.

    Furthermore, we're not talking about movesets. We're talking about textures and colors.

    It's just a cape. It's no big deal. Besides, it's blue here.

    My point being, this is a project centered toward making the characters "Nintendo oriented". Which would naturally imply that they should be... based off of actual Nintendo designs.

    "Arguing" is definitely the wrong word.
    My post was meant to be cynical and humorous, not argumentative.
    If the joke went over your head, that's not really my problem.

    In any case, when it comes to textures, colors are 110% not trivial.

    Allow me to shed some light on the decision to make his cape blue. We were going to have it purple originally, but we felt that it clashed with the rest of his design since that hue isn't really re-used anywhere. To solve this, we tried what Sakurai did with Marth's design for Smash 4 to add some variations to the design, while also taking inspiration from his original artwork.
