It's not possible at the moment. It is controlled by a texture, but the texture itself is a black and white mask that gets coloured blue. That's why the P:M Sonics don't do it either.
...The MASK controls that? I could have swore it was that really light blue texture. Now I just wonder what that's for... Guess I was mistaken.

It's present on the Brawl model, and I figured I might as well take advantage of it, since the Air Ride and Return to Dreamland models (which I am basing his colors off of) do not have it, as well as the M insignia on his left pauldron and his boots.
