Alright, i reinstalled vanilla P:M and the Smash 3 pack alone.
Testing now.
---
Alright, it works. Thanks for the instructions.
Glad you got it working! Is Ike's additional model still planned for release despite the onset of Smash 4 and the relatively close culmination of the project?
Of course, wouldn't want to waste a perfectly good model and textures after all.

When you guys eventually get around to Ike's new model will you also still keep Path of Radiance Smash3 Ike up? i like both Path of Radiance Ike and Radiant Dawn Ike and I can't choose between the two of them.

I'm kind of hoping ranger Ike gets an update to look less like plastic in addition to his hero costume. But I suspect ranger Ike is probably staying the way it is.

Thank goodness, this is honestly the one hack I've been anticipating the most eagerly on the Vault. When you guys eventually get around to Ike's new model will you also still keep Path of Radiance Smash3 Ike up?
I can't speak for them, but I'm 100% certain both Ike's will stay. There's no reason to eliminate one iteration of Ike just because another exists. Deleting Ranger Ike would just be weird, haha.

I don't know if you guys will do it but something really cool would be if you added the Smash 3 textures on a Fierce Deity Link.. That will be the coolest.. Just stating a suggestion.

That awkward moment when you're preparing a surprise update, then you watch the Nintendo Direct and see the exact character looking exactly like you were making him... Anyway, the Mewtwo update no one saw coming! Within the same 24 hours as Mewtwo's Smash 4 reveal, which was a complete fluke. Old Mewtwo is still available on the Vault if you still really want it for whatever reason. When you guys eventually get around to Ike's new model will you also still keep Path of Radiance Smash3 Ike up? i like both Path of Radiance Ike and Radiant Dawn Ike and I can't choose between the two of them.

We will keep Ranger Ike up, but he won't be updated.

Who would've thought, eh? XD
He looks fantastic, though. Even better than the old one. Very nice job.

As awesome as the model looks, the rig, I think, needs improvement. Namely in regard to his legs.
The first thing I notice from his preview gallery on imgur is that it seems that Mewtwo's legs aren't even attached to his body model-wise. This ends up causing a problem in his Shadow Ball charge pose, and in the preview image with Dialga, where Mewtwo's leg digs into his body. Even though Mewtwo has big legs, they aren't so big that they create that much space between his crotch area and his thigh, and anatomically speaking, it just plain looks...wrong.
Sorry to be the Debbie Downer, but that's my honest critique of Mewtwo's rig and model, and the fact that Mewtwo is in my top list of favorite Pokemon isn't helping things either.

looking awesome, but i gotta agree with velen on the rig... on the other side, it's probably because of the model edits, and i can imagine how hard it has to be to adapt this anatomy to the "original" one...

Thanks for the critique to both of you! I checked ingame to make sure, and while the legs do indeed disconnect, the issue is present on the default P:M model as well: The model is actually an extreme vertexing of the P:M model, so the rig is still the same, but the legs are far more noticeable on this model due to the size. I think it's less the rig that's the issue, but more that the animation issues are more exaggerated with the larger legs (admittedly, I'm not a model editing guy, so my eyes for this stuff may be a bit off). Though I do agree that it is a bit of an issue, so we'll mess around with it and see what we can come up with.

Well, a few things I would recommend:
1. Possible deleting some polys on the inside of the legs and his crotch area, and welding them together, and do the same for the top and side of the leg while keeping the lip between the crotch and the leg. This way it would look good anatomically, and could properly reduce the problem I pointed out.
2. Edit the bone weights to make the edited legs work well. Check the animations around the leg area, and edit as necessary to further reduce the problem.
3. Release the PSDs for all characters? (As soon as they are finished?

The tail also needs work. It's too short and fat, in my opinion. It doesn't need to be as skinny as P:M Mewtwo's, but it doesn't need to be so fat. But the shortness is an issue. It should be the same length as P:M Mewtwo's. The bulbs on the fingers could be smaller, as they clip through the legs. And the thighs could be slightly smaller, as those have clipping issues as well.

I can't be the only one who thinks Mewtwo's thighs look unnaturally fat.

I was about to say something about how Mewtwo is rigged too, his legs definitely need to be re-rigged. It shouldn't be too hard, but it will probably never be perfect. Thanks for taking a look at it though, the PMBR's Mewtwo model really disappointed me so I really want to be able to use this one without it looking weird.
