That would be helpful! That would probably come in handy for future codes as well!

alright here it is ConsoleApplication just drag and drop the text file into the program. If it has a space in its name, just remove the quotes from the program. then press enter. the text file will be formatted correctly now. Then you can drag another one in

I might put a link in the OP to your tool. Should I use your link, or should I upload it to my dropbox? Post Merge: March 16, 2014, 01:29:43 PM
So thanks to Sammi Husky I have split and combined the Project M codes into 3 separate gct files! Here is a dropbox link to all 4 gct files that I have: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/bj6whxn6riyk05u/iliFfWLG56-The original Project M v2.1 codes. Nothing done to them. -The Unknown codes -The Known codes minus the CSS related codes -The combined Unknown and Known codes minus the CSS related ones I haven't gotten a chance to test anything yet, and will probably do so later today. Post Merge: March 17, 2014, 05:47:54 PM
Alright everyone... I have some interesting results for you all to see. So I took the Unknown codes and put them into their own gct and attempted to play with them. Here are my results: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3MjCUQJKk4The second time I used the Unkown codes and the other Known codes that were in the Project M gct. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUdqhlEWeIQSomething tells me that to fix this it will take more time and knowledge than I have... So any help or ideas would be appreciated!

the only ppl that know what each of those codes do its the project m staff so unless one of them wants to make an old PM build compatible with brawlex(very unlikely) this wont ever work, very few ppl actually know about codes and only the project m staff acutally knows what they do individualy, so brawlex wont ever work with projectm unless they want to make it happen which they dont to due to having their own clone engine already.

Ya... I might screw around with it a little bit longer, but it really is starting to look like a dead end. I don't normally like to give up on things like this, but because of so many unknown variables that only project m staff knows of, it does almost seem impossible. I still might look into it a little longer though...

You shouldn't have to remove anything from this PM version except the CSS codes. other then that, i don't believe there is anything else unless They have codes that alter the IC's for characters. which is likely. Just try it with only the CSS codes removed

every time since the first PM release they have a code that prevents adding other slots to the CSS or they turn to mario slot and use the mario original files, becuase they didnt want the ppl to get the chars that didnt have pm movesets vs the pm movesets made so yes there is a code preventing that somewhere in there ever since the first release

Well then... does anyone know how to decipher codes?! but seriously. Would it be basically impossible to tell what code is what in the Project M codes? Cause to me it just looks like a bunch of characters all mushed together in sets of 16... Do you think that this code that is preventing CSS addition would look anything like the custom CSS code? Or is there a certain line of code that is in every CSS related code? Cause if so, then one could just go through and find all the codes that start with this and delete them from the list... idk. Just some thoughts. I honestly don't know much about codes, so ya... I'm more into texture and model hacks myself.

I'm more into texture and model hacks myself. there are ways. about 60% of codes have the same ending line. i'll have to look it up to find it again. and quite a few have the same starting lines. that will cut down a LOT of the work by searching for those 2 lines of code. then you just add them toa GCT and find out exactly what each code does. the hard part will be finding that last 40% of the codes. i decoded a few codes using a leaked codeset and the newer ones and comparing and contrasting them, we were able to find foot stool on taunt, GC light press (freezes pretty sure theres more to this one we need to add), melee air dodge (wavedash), moonwalking, momentum capture settings, the settings modifiers, camra settings, physics, hitstun/lag and a few others. i would recomend using one of the newer brawlbox's. i use 0.71, they come with a code manager, just add the text file of codes you know to it and it can open a GCT and recognize those codes. we are actually trying to decyphering 3.0 atm xD another tip is on known codes with a modifier (settings, hitlag, hitstun etc) look for the lines of code above and below the modifier. i'll update the post with common closing and opening lines later.

OK! Wow! This is like exactly what needs to be done! Would it be at all possible for you to post a link or something, that has all of the codes that have already been deciphered? So that we can maybe mess with them a little.

So that we can maybe mess with them a little. hmm i can post a link of all the codes i have in .txt file atm we have deciphered 21 codes in PM 3.0 also the most common ending line is: E0000000 80008000 start by looking for that line and adding a marker to show the end of a code ( i usually add a line break)
