I use a Capture Card to get the feed from my Wii to the computer. I then use a software to record it...

    Fraps

Fraps is so cool for picture-taking, too; rather than have to "print-screen", create a bitmap, and paste it in, this handy tool auto-does it! Cheesy

    how do I use Fraps?

After installing it, you can open it up via double-clicking the .exe, and customize what buttons you want pressed to record videos and what not; after that, you click the minimize button, and it will look like it's gone, but it's actually in a side-task, until you exit.

    how do I use Fraps?
Run the game you want to record
    Run Fraps
Go back to your game, press the "Start Recording" hotkey (default is F9)
Press it again when you're done

You can configure things like the hotkeys and where Fraps saves the videos. Note that Fraps isn't free; the free version stops recording after 30 seconds and puts a small watermark at the top of the video. But the full version is only $37. Pretty cheap in terms of software.

Also, Dolphin can generate videos on its own. It's the "Dump frames" option; you can Google for more info or someone else can provide it, because I don't remember the details. But it never worked very well for me.

If you don't have the money for Fraps, use Bandicam, since its free max recording time is 10 minutes. Though the price is slightly higher ($39) than Fraps ($37).

I prefer Bandicam, since Fraps lags hard for me.

Will the video play in normal speed?

It depends on how powerful your computer is. What are your computer's specs?

If you have a really strong computer, then you'll likely get a smooth 50-60 FPS for your overall Dolphin play. Though the FPS might slightly dip a little when recording, since recording software can get a bit heavy on your CPU usage.

If you have a slightly higher than average (or somewhere close), then you'll possibly get 50-60 FPS with some games. Though the FPS will likely take a huge dip to about 40-50 FPS for those games.

If you have a weak computer, then you shouldn't bother. Invest in getting better computer parts.

Another option is Debut Video Capture Software, which has like no max time limit for the free version(Non-Commercial Use ONLY), but the free version is also limited to only 32 FPS. Although, it does allow you to take videos from your webcame, or from your monitor, regardless of what. It takes new videos every time you change programs, btw, which is awesome, cause then you can use that to not have to edit out the part of the video where you scroll across the desktop to open the program!
