If it's already rigged, it would be super-easy to pose; just select the bones, go into Pose Mode, rotate/transform the bones to pose the model, and when you're done, go back to Object Mode, clear the parent between the two(But they will still be connected), go to Modifiers, and add the modifier, and it will finish unparenting them, and will make the model posed like that that specific object. You can probably use the same teachnique with 3DS Max, but I dunno about that... Also, with Blender importing, it's still unknown how to do it as of yet, so it would be suggested that if you use Blender to pose it, that you upload the posed model and ask someone to convert it via the Model Requests board.
