so I have been using the brawl ex clone engine for a while and it was working great, until that one fateful day..
one day the character slot 56 would not load any characters. I would replace them, try changing modules, triple check to see if the hex was wrong, try renaming or try different files, try different characters, use base characters, ect. but all that would happen when that character was selected would be a loud buzzing sound and a crash,. eventually I got annoyed and went to restart from scratch.
so I set everything up, re did all the characters, now when I load gecko to play the game it goes to an infinite black screen crash.
any idea what happened? I swear I did nothing wrong, the files are all in the right places and such...
this is really important

edit: removed brawlex and this problem still occurs

fixed, had to remove the damn system files and replace them then had to re clone all the characters
