Hi guys. So here's the deal. I have this texture (note the transparent areas):

and I want to use an SRT animation to give this a metallic, shimmering appearance.  So what I want to do is take this second texture...

...and put it in motion over *Just the opaque* areas of the first texture. That will create this (but in motion of course):

Is there some kind of material or shader setting I can use to achieve this effect? The goal is to have the magic symbol shimmer while leaving the areas of transparency as they are.

Follow this tut and use that metallic texture instead. Should work.

Thanks man, but I figured it out using a different method. It actually turned out to be pretty easy. As long as the material was set to show any alpha less than 128 as transparent, mixing those two textures in an SRT animation produced exactly the effect I wanted.
