It can be from 0 seconds to 9999999999999999999999999999999999999 hours. as long as it fits on your SD card.

You must also take into account the sound quality as well. BRSTM files with low sound quality use less memory than BRSTM files with high sound quality. However, the length of the BRSTM file must also be taken into account too.

Yea, length doesn't matter. As for quality, I set it to 32000khz (or w/e it is) because that's what Brawl normally reads. It can still be what you want though.
