I have one question that seems to fall udner this ctegoire. When I edit any of the textures that apply to effectsor weapons, they shwo up fine, but in game they are fuzzy and have a type of gltichy code-box thing around them. How do i fix this?

Hello, I'm having a problem when previewing textures. Whenever I preview the model it doesn't show the texture just this:

Help would be appreciated. Also if it helps, the only other person I previewed was Captain Falcon and It showed some of his stuff like his gloves, shoes, scarf, belt, and his mouth/skin everything else was also black.
Edit: I just tried it on zero suit samus and she was fine.

Certain characters have 'shiny' textures, these are overlays on the model to give it a shiny effect in-game.
You can easily turn them off by unticking the boxes labelled something like "SamusRef" in the preview windows texture tab.  Smiley

have another problem. I made alucario texture, but when I play in game ( this doesn't happen in brawlbox) the face is blankwhite, and the eyes are grey? This isn't how I had it, the face was red with brown eyes.

You have probably changed the format of the texture when importing it back into brawlbox... make sure you leave the format and Mip Levels as they were at default. that should fix it.

This requires an understanding of image editing software that's more advanced than MS Paint, doesn't it...
Oh well... guess I'll never be able to hack Brawl.

Ok. That makes much sense now. My main concerns is the software and trying to hide it from my parents and the images. The images clustered all over is really confusing me on what is what... anybody know a way to get it similar to that but one pic is the head another is the body and the other is below the waist and of course the back side of that. Any way to do THAT???

I am extremely new to all this texture hacking stuff, so please bear with me. Keep in mind I'm using Project M for this. I'm looking to add in some new textures for some characters, for example, Snake. But while some characters have clearly labeled textures (such as Mewtwo with FitMewtwo0#.pac/pcs), Snake does not (only FitSnake03.pac/pcs). Could someone explain to me how I could replace textures for him, and by extension, others like this?

A little update. I've figured out the answer to my own question, so yay. Another question: In the list of textures each character has and what number they're assigned to, it mentions an unused blue texture for Luigi. Could somebody upload a picture of this? I'm very curious.
