im animating snake for a wesker moveset, here's the moveset im looking at, although im changing it a bit ^^

PROGRESS:

grey=not started
yellow=animation finished
green=animation+PSA finished

Power-hungry, knowledgeable and cunning, Albert Wesker was a man who sought power and domination over the entire human race, all for his own gain. And now it is my hope that he will come to Brawl to do the same.



Wesker

Stats

Running Speed - 8/10 Above average, but not as fast as Sonic, Captain Falcon or Fox.
Air Speed - 7/10 A bit above average.
Combo Speed - 5/10 Combos are not that fast, and deal an average amount of damage.
Priority -8/10 High priority.
Jump Height - 5/10
Power - 8/10 Above average power.
Weight – Medium

Moveset

Normal Attack animations

Attack11 (A): Normal Punch
* From Snake's normal AAA combo

Attack12 (AA): Short Uppercut (snake's second punch)
* animation can be ripped from Ganondorf's forward throw.

Attack13 (AAA): Double Roundhouse  (custom animation, not described here)
* Just as the names suggest Wesker delivers not one but two roundhouse kicks to his opponnet.


AttackDash (Dash A): Knee Cannon (combo possibility: if press A, u will teleport behind the enmy and shoot) (PSA CODED BUT UNTESTED)
* Wesker jumps up mid dash and smashes into the opponnets face with his knee. This can either have little knockback or no knockback.


AttackS3S (Forward Tilt A): No Change


AttackS3S2 (Forward Tilt AA): Cobra Strike
*Wesker slams his palm into the opponnet's chest.


AttackHi3 (Up A): windfall
*the animation for this can be Falcon's up A animation

AttackLw3 (Down A): Dividing Kick
*the animation for this can be Fox's Down Smash animation

AttackS4S (Forward Smash): Mustang Kick (editted sparta kick)
* the animation for this can be Ganondorf's forward tilt just with more reach and speed. Notably, there should also be a sleight stun effect, little/medium knockback.


AttackHi4 (Up Smash): Tiger Uppercut
* Wesker slams his hand into the opponnet's chin


AttackLw4 (Down Smash): Windmill
*the animation for this can be Sheik's Down Smash animation


AttackAirN (Neutral Air A): Double Kick
- Ganondorf's aerial neutral A would work well.

AttackAirF (Forward Air A): Phantom Finish
- The first strike animation can be Ganondorf's first neutral a kick. Second can be Snakes aerial forward-A. The final strike can be Falcon's aerial Forward-A.

AttackAirB (Back Air A):
- Ganondorf's Back Air A

AttackAirHi (Up Air A): No change

AttackAirLw (Down Air A): Phantom Strike
- Ganondorf's aerial Down-B


Special Attack animations

Neutral B: Samurai Edge (animation done 100% from scratch and awesome ^^)
*the animation for this can be somewhat Fox's neutral b animation
* Wesker pulls out his Samurai Edge pistol and fires infront of himself. He then puts it back in his coat.
* Wesker can teleport during the end of this move by pushing either A or side d-pad. A sends him into the air. Side d-pad sends him behind the opponnet.

Up B:


Side B: Ghost Butterfly
*Wesker slams both of his fist into the opponnet chest.


Down B: Rhino Charge
* cut and paste of Marth's or Ike's counter (hacker's choice) but holds his hand infront instead, and stabs his hand into the opponnet as the counter.
* damage = can be cut and paste from the original counter.

not possible...

Air Neutral B: Samurai Edge
* Should be like his netural B except it should go at a 90 degree angle. He should be able to teleport at the end of the animation. He should go down and in any oppisite direction he is facing. Depending on the button press.
* damage =  4%

Air Up B: Phantom Accension
* this attack can use Lucario's Up-B animation,but should also have a hit placed at the end. Either a Punch or Kick.

Air Side B: Phantom Move
* This can be somwhat like Ike's aerial-side-B except he punchs at the end.

Air Down B: Phantom Smash
* Perhaps you could use MetaKnight's Down B for the animation and effect; although, you can/should change it so it slams into the ground instead.


Grab: Wesker holds the opponnet by the throat.


Throws:
Up: Just throws them into the air.

Down: Slams them into the ground like Dk's down throw.

Forward: Wesker shoots them twice then punches them.

Behind: Wesker simply kicks them away.



Final Smash (Ground): Lost In Nightmare

Final Smash (Air): Phantom Dance


So i tried to think of a moveset that fit Wesker. I still can't think of a Up B on the ground for him if anyone has any ideas that would be great. Thanks to anyone who takes up my request.

never played any game involving him, i just copy-pasted the moveset from the thread ive mentioned, so, if u want to apport ideas, ur welcome, just be sure not to use names... xD
explain it, and if possible sprites or video (video should be easier...)

i saw something similar in a MVC3 video, so i made it, look at the previews ^^

down B ideas? (no counters, its impossible)

gun will be NB, he takes it out, shoots once, and puts it back. decent knockback and damage, considering he isnt really fast doing it ^^

also, most of his attacks wont send the enemy flying upwards, but sidewards, this way team combos will be easier ^^

if u check out at the progress u'll see that some of the animations are already done+coded ^^

this will kinda be my summer hack i guess ^^

also, the speed i do this may depend on how many ppl actualy want this/apport ideas/help/etc.

yeah, if u have better ideas than the ones in the moveset in the OP, feel free to suggest, but please dont replace any green moves... (unless they are green because they are snake's original moves ^^)
Counter's are actually possible.. Not exactly like Marth or Ike, but look at what EternalYoshi did with Lyn over Link.

havent seen it, i may PM him asking... that would give down B a nice move ^^

there's also V2 shadow.

i mean, he doesn't activate it when he get it, only when he is near a person and it recognizes or hits them. then it activates his move.

I think I can help you out with this project. If RE: Umbrella Chronicles works like Darkside Chronicles, and I'm 95% sure it does, I can get you Wesker's MLD0 and CHR0 animations from that game working. I tried this out with Leon, and by getting the model and fixing up the chr0's (not hard at all, just changing the Unknown1, 2 and 3 values in Brawlbox) it works great. Each model also has a gun attached to their hand (I think), maybe a knife as well. I think those are identical on each character for cutscene purposes.

So, let me know if you're interested in doing that. I can get you either his S.T.A.R.S. uniform or his trademark black suit, the animations will work for both models. Or any male character, for that matter...

Yep. And Chr0 animations. Each RE character has a standard mdl0 and a shadow mdl0. The male characters use a universal set of animations, while the female characters use a universal set of animations. Both Darkside and Umbrella Chronicles use this format, so it may be possible to one-slot different RE characters. Because of this I really want to do a Leon PSA, in fact.

But I really don't want to derail this topic. I can set up the animations and mdl0 for Wesker eventually, I only have Darkside ripped but I can rip Umbrella Chronicles real soon if you want.

the animations would be better than great ^^
with renaming the bones in the animation file it should work on snake, an about the models, i could use them for a vertex, but im not trying another import again... xD

so please rip all the animations u can, u will be added as collab in the project ^^

on another note, i already finished my hulk, so i'll be continuing with this project ^^

this'll be really good, if everything goes as planned, snake doesnt have a psa i like so far. especially looking forward to the shoot-teleport attack(though i dont understand how that could be done by someone with minor skill in psa-ing)

just had an idea, could your down b slow down time? though make it non-spammable(like giving it a recharge time, or lots of start lag).

well, i did make some stuff in PSA, the main issue right now is that snake ends in his crouching animations after a dash attack... T.T

and some of the animations i got may be usefull, it will be just a pain in the ass to rename all the bones in the animation file... xDDD

it has good walking animations, running animations, a good down B animation and blabla

i think i'll add a new move to down B, he will be walking and shooting at the same time, very low damage (1% per shot) and low knockback... and as long as u hold the B button he'll keep walking and shooting

i could do some of the psa, yeah.

and i'll mainly be porting animations, here are the animations u dont need to make:

walks+run
squat
specials


if u could do some smash attacks it would be awesome ^^

also, the teleport thing works, i only have to fix the bullet damage, since i made it on his hand and used offset... stupid me, i know, i'll update it with the haveN bone... xD

ok, so i just got home to find out that i dont have a snake 'costume' to fit the motionetc onto, ill use a captain falcon as a temporary substitute for the moment instead.

i plan on finishing the 3 smashes tonight, anything else you want, cause i doubt theyll take very long?

just download any snake hack :S if u do it on captain falcon, u'll have problems later to fix the animations for snake...

i cant, still not online on my laptop(sorry, meant back to my where im staying). the snake animations work fine on captain f, i dont think itd be much of a problem the other way round. all ill do for the smashes is port other characte's animations onto snake, so it wouldnt be too much hassle to redo them
