Well this project was mainly Target's idea, creator of Project Tabuu but Ill skip to the point. We didnt think Bowser's Brawl model met up to his true appearance and we thought his moveset was even worse so we are now making NSMBWii Bowser over: Bowser XD we are really only trying to improve the current one. This will mean all new animations and attacks. Any help from any of you animators out there would be great

Glitches: Cant be grabbed, teleports when runs, cant grab and cant shield. If anyone could help fix these that would be great

Update: Texture improved! Somewhat, he's still shiny, but much brighter! :D Thanks to Anivernage for posting the tip! ^_^

For now, I'm animating Bowser, but until he gets his freezing glitches fixed, we're focusing on Giant Bowser.

Giant Bowser is a port of Bowser's model over Giga Bowser, except resized to be 1,5 times the size of the normal model, where as Bowser is 0,5 times the size. This time, however, the Final Smash is not a direct Bowser clone like Giga Bowser was.

That's right, you can temporarily rampage around as the invincible Giant Bowser seen in the final battle of New Super Mario Bros. Wii. It's Real Bowser's Final Smash. ;)

In game, he's slightly bigger than my Giga Bowser port over Yoshi.

And he makes other fighters look like ants in comparison, just like he did with Mario, Luigi and the Toads.

Now, his moveset is very limited. He can only smash his hands forward twice, spit a giant fireball and jump. Also, he can't shield and dodge. Of course, he can ram into people, since his body will always hurt people he comes into contact with, and he's completely invulnerable. Giant Bowser also can't run. He can only walk, no matter how far you push the control stick. Also he cannot crouch or crawl. He instead walks forward or backward while pushing down. He can also unleash a thundering roar that's so intense, waves and sparks come out of his mouth. Just like in NSMBWii. Giant Bowser will only have one, although high, jump. Meaning you HAVE to stay on-stage at all costs.

Giant Bowser is one mean S.O.B. He's relentless, every time you touch him, you're sent careening, he's invincible, and has HUGE range. You'll have to be a little tricky to avoid his wrath, cuzz he ain't easy to deal with, and he will wipe the floor with you in seconds. And this time, that large switch that sent him down with the lava isn't there to save you. ;)

The time he'll stay as Giant Bowser will remain the same as Brawl Bowser stays as Giga Bowser, unless the transformation time can be increased somewhat. So now's the time to rampage on the stage, as a fighter that can make Giga Bowser and Tabuu themselves beg for death!

Well, I ultimately want to make Giant Bowser his FS, but Idk if that's possible, since he always turns into Giga Bowser and all, plus I don't know if I can make a playable Giant Bowser. :P

The shiny texture isn't a priority, but I think it's because of the way he's rendered in NSMBWii, that wavy lava texture in the final battle. :P

Snoopy still hasn't gotten back to me, sadly.

And I'm making progress on his Lose animation. I'm basing it on his Double Bogey + losing animation in Mario Golf Toadstool Tour. :)

So you're basically making an import of Bowser of New super mario bros wii? It can be interesting, even if I like Bowser as he is now it is still a way, and as I love Bowser, I won't say no! :laugh:

Do you still have these stupid glitches? If you still have them and they are not fixed already, maybe I can help you, even if I don't have the experience of Snoopy, I already fixed some glitches like that in the past. But I need some little precisions about the model though, if it has added bones, I can't really guarantee that I will be able to fix the problems, but I will do all what I can. Yeah you can. Just swap out Giga Bowser's model.

I know, but for those who dont want a PSA, ans just want a new model  for bowser, I can rename all the bones and have him use Old bowser's regular animations.

So basically its just a new costume for Bowser.

Corrected. He doesn't. You should see Giga use regular Bowser's animations... he so scrunched up. XD

Wow!! This is one of the greatest ideas I have seen in brawl vault!!!
I think the brawl bowser model sucks too and love this new model ;-)

Okay, maybe not one of the greatest, but one I felt necessary and shared with Hackers. I'm actually the one who helped him locate said model because before he couldn't find it. :) KOOPA.ARC, everyone!! LOL

Anyway, gonna try out my hunch for real, and I'm gonna tackle Giant Bowser. Laters!  ;)

EDIT: It worked.

For those who wanna know, I wanted to try scaling his TransN bone instead of his Hip bone. Not only does it work, but his animations from NSMBWii look cleaner. Now to apply this to the other animations I imported.

Well, not for a while, actually. He only has a couple of animations, and he has tons of glitches.

Now, I have a working Giant Bowser, with NONE of the glitches of normal Bowser, except for his arm growing and shrinking with the shield.

About the shield glitch, it is probably because he has less bones than the character he replaces. It would probably require some added bones.

No luck on fixing this stubborn texture. :( And now I can't get the damned eyeball texture to show up anymore. :>.>palm:

So yeah, I got the idea that Giant Bowser will be a lot like in New Super Mario Bros Wii, with only his 3 moves (smacking, fireball and jump) and total invincibility, if that's possible.

Okay, so Giant Bowser is nearing completion.

Now I just need a few things.

First, his texture is still an issue. :P

And PSA related:

PSA his 2 main moves:
-swatting before him twice
-Spitting a huge fireball

And also:
-Disable his aerial moves, dodges and specials
-Complete invincibility
-Disable shielding/dodging, since it's redundant with invincibility.
-Damage to whoever touches him.
-Shockwaves and fiery sparks coming out of his mouth during his Up-Taunt.

Finally, make it so that all A moves on the ground link to the swatting, that he only has one, high jump, all B moves make him spit the fireball, all taunts link to his Up-Taunt, etc. Basically, ONE A move and ONE B move and ONE jump. Savvy? Oh, and harmful body and total invincibility. :)

If anyone accepts, I'll PM that person Giant Bowser's files and once done, I'll need help on his texture and he'll be able to be released on the Vault.

Wow, thank you! Glad to see you so interested! :D

However Bowser himself is on a bit of a hiatus until his glitches are fixed, so I'm currently animating Giant Bowser and afterwards his PSA will come. :)

I plan to make his current Down B go to his DAir instead, and perhaps reconfigure his Neutral B to constantly shoot fire if B is held, when if B is just pressed and released right away, just shoot a fireball, like in NSMBWii.

Target. The test file I sent smashhackers awhile ago already had all the materials edited to match kangaroogreen's stuff. Just add the texture onto the test I sent smashhackers and it should work normally.

Okay, so I got the texture back from that mess on the last page, and believe it or not it was from SHINY BOWSER. So now it displays okay again. I just wish there was a way to do away with the shine altogether.

Okay, can do. ^^ And I'm not sure where the final battle level is stored. All I remembered was to tell Hackers to find Bowser himself in Koopa.arc. I haven't taken an extensive look at NSMBWii's iso...

And NSMBWii's BRSTMs can be used without modification. I currently use 3 of them myself on my game. :)

Now I need to know if DKCR uses BRSTM.

Anyway, still waiting on Snoopy and his fixes... I'm gonna keep animating anyway, just not the animations linked to actions that freeze.

I'm going to do a couple right now, I'll be back with some snapshots, and if not, I'll have them by Sunday or Monday. Tootles! ^_^

Mario Kart Wii's models have very few bones, too little to be of any use for characters. They're fine for stages though.

Olympic Games doesn't have MDL0.

You can try your luck with Winter Games though. ;D

Bowser glitches = Freeze on shield and footstool, can't pick up big items, TransN glitch, I hear he can't throw or be thrown, and I think that's it.
