Post by: Neon on July 14, 2009, 11:14:52 PM
Can't get 'em to work with sdloader, can someone who has succesfully changed titles see if it'll work?
First time didnt work.
Second time: removed _en from both pacs, game went to black screen.

They can't AT ALL. Go by .iso. I've attempted since the beginning.

The ISO method is pretty easy. I set-up my own routine using gbalzss instead of lz77ex (thanks to ESH) and I can customize titles in a matter of minutes. What takes longer is uploading the edited ISO to the external Hard-Drive, especially if you are using a Full Brawl ISO rip [6.95 Gibbies].

Why not? It can load almost everything else...

They can be loaded, but they can't fully work properly. They cause crashing in training mode, and in online Brawls (When you select a stage). Also, in my music menu, the names aren't changed there, and are only changed in regular offline Brawls. That's why it fully doesn't work properly. The my music menu names should be changed, not remain the same, and there should be no crashing when selecting a stage in different modes.

But it crashes before starting the opening movie.

Back in 2.1A, it didn't. In 3.2A, and others, removing the _en from mu_mainmenu WILL do that. Not fully working properly.

Actually, I just did a quick test... it's not the mu_menumain.pac that crashes it, it's the info.pac that does. And the mu_menumain had no visible effect I could find...

I believe mu_mainmenu changes the song titles in the my music menu.

Info, I believe changes the song names in-game (When the stage loads up, the title of the music changes).

Hmmm, weird, because I see no difference...

Hmm... Why haven't I heard any reports on this yet? If there's a freezing glitch, it is likely due to a flaw in the code. The File Patch code was originally designed to be a efficient replacement for .iso hacking, so I still want to be able to cover all the fields that .iso hacking is currently capable of.

Even if it's irrelevant to the rest of Brawl hacking, it's still good to maintain functionally sound codes. I'll look into it and see what's the problem.

Here's another bug, whenever codes like With Anyone - Basic Brawl are applied, no textures show in the game as it interferes with the SD loader.

Well... if it's too much for you, you could also try the music changer codes I'm working on ._.

*cough* advertisment *cough*

Ah, well I already responded to you on Youtube about making the codes universal for all stages, but I see Phantom is already taking action. But yes, its a very good temp fix, although its alot of work having to make Title mods for all stages.

Alright, so the code has been updated to v3.5.1 (115 lines) which fixes the the bug and related bugs in question. As it turns out, one of my file size handler routines had a bug in it that was causing the size to be misinterpreted. Can someone run a test for me just to make sure it works on everyone else' end?

You know that we could do this manually through the .pac file. It would just take alot of pointer editing.
