Title: Moving Stuff on the Z-Axis Post by: JDub on July 01, 2010, 10:53:35 AM I'm working on a stage hack (I think I've started all my posts like this :>.>palm: ) and I need to move the StgPosition on the Z Axis but when I test it in the game it doesn't move. Moving it on the X and Y axis works perfectly by the Z axis won't move at all.

You can move the stage's position around as much as you want, but it won't take any effect whatsoever in game unless the position's in a key-frame. Sorry if that didn't help but that's information I had to learn the hard way (trial, error, and lots and lots of frustration). Title: Re: Moving Stuff on the Z-Axis Post by: JDub on July 02, 2010, 09:21:53 AM Ok I did that and they just enter in the background and then teleport back the bridge.
Title: Re: Moving Stuff on the Z-Axis Post by: Techno Assassin on July 02, 2010, 09:44:20 AM Huh. Maybe you should check for other key-frames in the animation that would cause it to jump around. If there are any, you should probably either ditch those key-frames or alter their data to prevent the stage from teleporting (Make all the key-frame data the same as that of the first key-frame).
Title: Re: Moving Stuff on the Z-Axis Post by: JDub on July 02, 2010, 10:06:54 AM But the thing is I made a specific animation for this and I put it on loop and the animation only has 1 frame, therefore has one keyframe, which I've already edited.
Title: Re: Moving Stuff on the Z-Axis Post by: Techno Assassin on July 02, 2010, 04:12:36 PM Huh, not really sure what to do then. I guess you could pm me the file and I could take a look at it, but I wouldn't count on me being able to fix it. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
Title: Re: Moving Stuff on the Z-Axis Post by: JDub on July 02, 2010, 04:23:54 PM I'll just send you it. If you can't fix it it's no big deal.
