Title: Post Battle Portrait
Post by: supersaiyanmikito on July 02, 2010, 12:14:46 AM
This one is in need of a guide...

I have Select Screen Portraits, Battle Portraites, and Stock Icons but I can't figure out how to change the characters portrait on the after battle result screen... Can someone post a guide on how to do this?

Just make a Folder in your pf...called menu, then another one called common and the last one called char_bust_tex.....you have to put you portraits there...

pf/menu/common/char_bust_tex

Hope this helps

What files spacifically do I have to put in there?

Also, where do I go to change the character's portraits that you put the coin on?

you have to put there the normals portraits from the CSS....
just go to the sc_selcharacter_en, go to the ARC file called "char_bust_tex_Iz77,
open it, click the bres file and export it to the folder I told you before.....oh and rename it:

MenSelchrFaceB000 ( for mario)
MenSelchrFaceB0010( for DK)

then go ahead for the others charaters just adding 10

As for those ones to put on the coin I have no idea....sorry:(

For the match result portraits, you need to get hold of a series of files named, MenSelchrFaceB###.brres, and then place them in...

[SD drive]\private\wii\app\RSBE\pf\menu\common\char_bust_tex\

Now, like what Micaiah91 said, you can export the archives from char_bust_tex_lz77, but they will be compressed.  You must decompress the files before using them.

Regarding the CSS face icons, you can modify them via sc_selcharacter.pac.  The icons will be inside the archive, MiscData[70].

How do I decompress them? My game freezes when it reaches the results screen.

BTW... Here is what I have. I'm trying to get Sonic to work...

\private\wii\app\RSBE\pf\menu\common\char_bust_tex\MenSelchrFaceB460.brres

Inside them I have the palletes and textures from the character select screen.
