Post by: MaxThunder on August 03, 2009, 08:11:33 AM
...i'm workingon a marth texture... and 'm trying to make a new symbol on his back... but the problem is... when i tried to just put it on top of the other it only showed the part of it that was on top of the other one... in the alpha channel the basic symbol was the only thing not black... so i tried to delete the in hope of making my symbol visible... but now the alpha channel is all black... what should i do?

...
...does really no one know this?

I think most people have a hard time of understand what exactly you are trying to say...

As for when I've messed with Marth / Ike... I just...

Select all, deleted, and then put in my new image... modifying the alpha as necessary (just select delete, messing with alpha channel directly is a bit too much of a hassle for that). Then again... I am a GIMP user...

...ok.. let me think a bit...
...
...
... what i'm saying is that i cant put anything in there that isn't transparent... exept the parts of it i put over whats there in the first place... and if i delete that everything goes transparent... so how do i make it visible?

Take the image you put in place of the emblem. cntrl click the layer, it should select the image. go into the alpha channel, if you want it partially transparent make it gray, if you want it completely visible make it white and everything else black.
