Title: No tutorials seem to work... Post by: ariesstarwind on July 08, 2010, 12:34:43 AM Hey. I'm a noob here and to hacking but I have been playing Smash Bros games since the very beginning.
I have used countless tutorials, online tutorials, and word of mouth. I have downloaded multiple code managers, different versions of gecko, USB loaders, and more. Yet, every time I get close something goes wrong. Is there ANY way I could get some kind of 1 on 1 with someone who knows what to do? It would really help a lot. Basically I have: 4.2 firmware a 500GB hard drive WBFS Manager with the Brawl iso already on it Now with those in mind....I need some instructions... Title: Re: No tutorials seem to work... You left out one important piece of information. Are you NTSC or PAL? Well, since your obviously using USB loading as your method for playing the game, heres what you need and what you have to do. 1. NeoGamma R8 (it may not be as pretty as USB Loader GX but it's more stable). So yeah, your going to need that. Download is on the BrawlVault resource page. 2. A .gct with the File Patch Code in it. You can download the ones from HERE (http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=5.0) or make you own with Code Manager. Here is the actual code: Code:
3) If you choose to make your own .gct because you want to use other codes besides just the File Patch Code, then download Code Manager HERE (http://wiird.l0nk.org/ocarina.zip) - After Downloading, extract the contents and open the "pc" folder found inside. - Load the codemgr.exe. - Copy the code above and any other codes you want to use into Notepad and save it a "NameNotImportant.txt" - Then in Code Manager, go to "File" and Click "Open .TXT file;" select the "NameNotImportant.txt" you just created. - Check all the codes you want to use then when you are done, click the massive button at the bottom that says "Export to GCT." It'll give you two options, Store to File and Store to SD Card.
4. Now your going to need this: Code: RSB?01: 5. Place NeoGamma in the APPS folder on your SD card and run it from the Homebrew Channel. 6. Choose to load from your USB Device, WBFS Partition and select Brawl. READ THIS (http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=5.0) to figure out how to setup up your SD card and where to place the hacks. If you have any more questions. Just ask. Title: Re: No tutorials seem to work...
