Title: This new SSS expansion code thing has me confused
Post by: JBG on July 11, 2010, 12:36:03 PM
I understand how to use MOST of it, like setting up the .pac files in the SD card, but not the .rel files. Could someone please elaborate how that works for me? It's a pretty silly question, I know, but it would be very helpful.

the rels for the expansion code go in
pf->module
you need them for the the added stages to work

I caught that much from the forum post I looked at. Wha's getting me confused is do you take the .rel of the original stage, or do you need a modified .rel?

If you're asking about how to make stages compatible with the expansion system
then read here (http://ssbbcustom.wikia.com/wiki/Module_files)

That article WAY overcomplicates the whole thing. Just watch this video here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wq0rGN7m_Ms). After watching this, everything will make perfect sense to you and will never be a problem again.

UGH that doesn't answer my question!

What I'm asking is, if I were to take, say, Talon Overworld and put it into one of those custom slots, do I need some sort of modified .rel, or do I just need the regular .rel from the stage it replaces?

Download this (http://www.mediafire.com/?1mmzzo5xyoy) it contains module files for the custom slots (ignore the rest inside the package) Then rename the Tallon Overworld stage to stgcustom# (# is the slot your replacing and must be the same number as the module file you use) But this won't work for all stages and there might be glitches like invisible platforms just try which stages work and which don't.
