I'm sorry if this is stupid ...

So it's been a long while since i've done anything with downloading hacks and such, i stopped generally out of boredom i guess. I came back and saw some cool looking hacks and decided i wanted some, but there was one problem ...

I upgraded to 4.3

This wasn't much of a problem, i got it downgraded to 4.1. I got homebrew back and everything.

But ... it just doesn't work anymore. I got Brawl+ and got everything downloaded from there. When i try to play a match, it freezes at the stage selection screen. This is unless i press start instantly and it chooses a stage at random. The match plays out normally, unless i have a character with a moveset/model hack. Then it freezes on me.

Examples:
I tried using the Cloud Kong thing, Donkey Kong just looked weird. Enlarged and shrunk body parts. I was able to run and jump, but if i tried attacking it would freeze. I didn't see Cloud at all.

I tried using the Sheik Saki hack. It didn't load up instantly, but i was able to use Saki by switching to Zelda back to Sheik. It froze after a few more seconds of battling.

So then i decided to delete everything hack related from my SD card except the RSBE01 file. It still freezes at stage selection.

I AM waiting 5-9 seconds before selecting another character, so that's not the problem either.

I have no idea what's causing this. I'm wondering if it's because i had to delete my Brawl save file to get homebrew back. If anyone has any solutions, please respond ...



While i'm at it asking for help, if anyone has a roster screen like Brawl+ with having the different forms of characters separate and having the alloys playable, i would like that.

Thats strange...I would try downloading a save file for brawl just to see if that was the problem, but I doubt it.  You have the latest version of brawl+? what kind of sd card do you have and how big is it?  You also might want to try reformatting your SD card completely (To FAT).  

Updating to 4.3 might have changed something that you can't fix.

Well, trying to get the save file was my first thought, i did get one. but i cant figure out how to get it on my wii. the savegame installer doesn't work on .bin and it's the only file type i can find.

I SHOULD have the latest version of Brawl+, i redownloaded it from the homebrew browser and updated at least twice.

My card is a SanDisk for wii, 2 gb. it's worked before, but i'll try reformatting it.

Yay! glad I could help, and don't use the updatifier app, I think its dated and glitchy, it doesn't download all the files or something.  to be safe download from www.smashmods.com
