Title: Using More Than One Character Hack...(ANSWERED)
Post by: BlazingBarrager on July 18, 2010, 09:24:11 PM
Hey, I'm new at this and I was wondering how you use more than one of the same character hack? Like say I have two different hacks of Peach I want to use...

I don't know if this is something very easy or very hard. I'm still trying to figure everything out.

As Of Right Now Only One Hack Can Be Used As A Time (Doesnt Apply To Textures)

In the character's folder, you'll notice that it has numbers in the alternate colors names on Sonic, Ivysaur, etc. The numbers relate to color slots a character has. Some characters have colors that are dummied out and aren't used by the game.

The numbers range from 00 to 06. Loading a texture in a slot that is dummied out can either result in a freeze, or the texture jus tplain not working.

EDIT: Oh, Character hacks.

Yup, just one at a time for now.

By character hack what do you mean exactly?

Is it a texture, vertex or attack hack for a character?

What are vertex and attack hacks like? I know I have a couple, but I just want to make sure.

An attack hack is something that changes a characters moveset. Those hacks are named FitName.pac and you can only use one at a time unless someone can make it the right way.

A vertex hack is like a texture, it changes how the character looks and is named FitName00.pac/pcs or which ever number you want.

Ah I get it now. Thanks for explaining. It also answered my question so now I'm good.

FitCharMotionEtc.pac = moveset (motions), textures, and AI
FitChar.pac = textures, logic, and physx
FitChar0#.pac/pcs = models, textures, etc... (excluding audio)

Thank you. I understand now.
