Title: Porting a character texture to another character Post by: Mortimer on July 20, 2010, 11:42:33 AM I'm kinda noob in hacking, so I need help converting a character texture to another one.
I opened the pac/pcs files with BrawlBox and I could see separate "partitions" containing the textures, models, animations, etc. I want to put replace Toon Link with Waluigi (the same used in the Waluigi Project). So, my doubt is, how can I do that? Which of the ''partitions'' should I replace in Toon Link's file? Thanks in advance. Title: Re: Porting a character texture to another character Post by: Mortimer on July 20, 2010, 05:21:09 PM I actually want him to look like a Waluigi and move exactly the same as Toon Link, but I also want Waluigi to look normal.
I mean, I used a Grey Fox texture for Mario, only the texture, and he was ''half legged'', if you get what I mean. So, I want a fully working Waluigi, with Waluigi's texture and Toon Link moves. Title: Re: Porting a character texture to another character Post by: JBG on July 20, 2010, 07:52:18 PM See now here's the thing. If you want someone to look exactly like Waluigi,...it's rather coplicated.
"Porting" over the texture is really quite simple, it just requires a bit of editing and improv. If you look at the Helmetless Samus I made from Zelda, you'll know what I'm talking about, as I took the texture from the Power Suit trophy and "ported" it onto Zelda. I've also done the same thing with the Zero Suit but its not released yet >.> Title: Re: Porting a character texture to another character Post by: Mortimer on July 21, 2010, 08:09:32 AM @yoshimo: I want a toon link with waluigi textures.
@Black Boo: thanks for handing me that info. Could you give me some tips about this? |
