In an info.pac it may cause freezing to delete one of the Datas that keep it running, if its a memory space problem you have then tell me the details of the info.pac you are modifying and I can gladly tell you what needs to be done to shrink its file size

(using a hex editor) try deleting most of the data in:
dummy1.dat
dummy2.dat
border.dat
(leave at least 4 bytes '00 00')

these go in the pf directory.

not garunteed this'll work though.

you're going to say LZ77 compression right :)

EDIT:
if you don't have the dat files...
just create new .txt files and rename the extension to .dat

Try replacing the descriptions involving Wi-Fi with periods.  That'll reduce the memory of the info.pac file, and prevent game crashes whenever you want to take snapshots or save replays.

P.S.: You'll need all the files inside the info2 folder if you want your info modifications to be applied in all game modes.  For the Subspace Emissary, get hold of if_adv_mngr.pac.

Check an unedited info.pac file to see how much memory it uses.  Make sure that when you modify that file that it uses less memory than normal.

Heres how it works. info.pac goes in...
SDCard:\private\wii\app\RSBE\pf\info2
The filesize must be 391 kb or it will either freeze or in my case fail to load.
(I mean that the game just skips over that file if it is too big and loads it from the disc)
To cut down on the size, open it in BrawlBox, and navigate it like this.
info_en\MiscData[160]
When you find it start replacing text in there with a single question mark.
Only replace text that you will never see.

A link to a video explaining this is here.
Skip to 3:26 to see what you need.

Then you will get messages with '?' instead of the text you're supposed to see.
