Title: How do I make it NOT desyinc online?

Okay I'll make this simple, I have a seriously insane idea for sonic (yes, it's still a secret *evil laugh*) and I want to know something. And that is well, how to make something not desync online. I know it's probably something simple that I'm missing?

Does desyc happen when Both players have the model, animation, and Psa? I haven't yet played anyone that shared...

The other person doesn't have the hack/model/animation because it's a project I'm trying to keep secret. Besides the demo I made.

In order for it to not desync both parties need to have the same exact files.

there are some animations that are loose and won't desync the match...
such as the standing, walking, jumping, etc...
however, attack animations can desync the game...

any modified PSA will desync the game

Doesn't it usually depend on the connection? I've had matches that run smoothly and have tons of lag but no problem with animation (on my end cuz dark sonic ain't released yet :P)

Sigh... Games load files off of their respective discs/sd cards. That means that your hack will not magically transfer over to the other person's game. Unless he/she has the same exact file under the exact name, it will not work.
Plz lern 2 online games.

you're probably using safe animations that are within range of the timelength...

but if your animations don't last as long as the attack, or last longer than the attack...
there is the probability of a desync...

but then again...
it may just stop the animation (if you have a longer attack animation) and just cut right back to the standing/falling animation

if the animation is too short, it may loop, freeze (stay at the last frame), or end (T-pose), until the command finishes...
not too sure of this yet...

animations may all be safe...
witch would mean it's just the logic that does the damage of desyncing the game...
(I'm gonna stop calling it PSA)

don't quote me on this as I'm not so sure that's how this works...

Yup I want to make a few changes to his hitboxes for sonic's side and down B so that they're the ones for Naryu's love and last for the whole attack. I also wanna add the dark smoke effect to the animations(at least the attack and movement related ones) in the same way as some of the animations in this video.

EDIT: By hitboxes, I meant JUST the hitboxes, not the whole animation sound effects etc.

Oh. I see. I just do animations. I can't Psa or anything else... I do love the black aura though in the vid. That's rather sweet.

I know, it's the dark smoke effect at an increadibly small scale attatched to his FFFFFE bone.

Do you think you could do Ganondorf's Down B but on peach instead of ganondorf(with her dress moving properly and everything) for me then? I have that planned as her side b for my neo peach project but I can't seem to get it without screwing it up lol I also want her to do his normal B as her neutral B but that animation always gets kinda messed up too. The last thing I would request is Zelda's normal B (graphics and all) as peaches down special.

I can do the psaing needed for all these but I just need the animations to look right on the character X3

I can do just the basic animations... nothing to extravagant... Like, I can Imitate Gannon's Warlock punch, but not have it BE Warlock punch.

Hmm alright, that'd probably work better either way, since it's an entirely different attack altogether anyway ^_^;;

tell ya what. I'll see what the animation does after work. Maybe if it animates well you could tweek it. I get off at 9pm CST so be a bit before i can even start it

Cool, how about making sonic imitate Sheiks side smash A, is that doable? (I would asume so if it was made from sonics bones/animations and not just sheiks copied/pasted)

I'm planning his side B to be sheiks side smash A attack with a couple more rounds of kicks added.(like the same attack but he does the same animation and attack twice)

lol I'm not piling this on am I? I just think that having the same move for both the side and down b on dark sonic is kinda lame XP

any model editing, psa work, etc will cause desync, there's no way around that.  vertex, however, will not.
