Title: Hello Fellow Memebers! Now please help me. Post by: Anim8r Dude on August 12, 2010, 06:31:26 PM YUP. THAT'S RIGHT! I signed up just for a question.
No need to introduce myself and all that chit-chat, just need a simple answer to some simple questions. :O So today, I said to myself "Today would be a great day to learn how to texture hack Brawlz". And so I did. I CAREFULLY followed (notice how I said carefully =D ) the The Complete N00B's Guide to Brawl Hacking as well as some stuff on this link ( http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=5.0 (http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=5.0) ) and set up my SD card like everyone else: SD CARD ROOT FOLDERS: - Private\Wii\App\RSBE\pf\fighter\(Character Name)\ Texturez - Codez (with the File Patch Code v3.5.1A) - Apps (with USB Gecko 9.3, with "SD card cheats activated".) And here's the problem (that probably has been answered somewhere, somehow before): Zee textures will not show. - I KNOW all the folders are placed and named appropriately - Textures are named "Fitcharacter00.pcs" - A Wii 4.2 U version (if it helps) SO If anyone has a solution to my rather simple problem ( I know they do =) ), I happily await an answer. It would be nice to start texture hacking as soon as possible. Another question that I'm absolutely stumped on: What the difference between ".pcs" and ".pac" texturez? Thanks everyone :af: -Me What a long post. Title: Re: Hello Fellow Memebers! Now please help me. Post by: DarkPikachu on August 12, 2010, 06:38:55 PM try creating SD:/gameconfig.txt
and put this in it: RSB?01: codeliststart = 80570000 codelistend = 80580000 poke(800042B8, 60000000) pokeifequal(80000000, 52534245, 803E9930, 60000000) pokeifequal(80000000, 5253424A, 803E99A8, 60000000) pokeifequal(80000000, 52534250, 803E9D5C, 60000000) pokeifequal(80000000, 52534245, 801D5F60, 4800000C) pokeifequal(80000000, 52534245, 80016C50, 60000000) pokeifequal(80000000, 5253424A, 801D5FD8, 4800000C) pokeifequal(80000000, 5253424A, 80016C50, 60000000) pokeifequal(80000000, 52534250, 801D6740, 4800000C) pokeifequal(80000000, 52534250, 80016CC4, 60000000) Title: Re: Hello Fellow Memebers! Title: Re: Hello Fellow Memebers! Now please help me. Post by: Anim8r Dude on August 12, 2010, 08:54:35 PM Hmm... Interesting. Never heard about that "Gameconfig.txt" thing before. Suppose Ill give it a whirl later. :)
As for you LordNOah, my RSBE01.gct file named correctly (I'm not that much of a NoOb :P) . I must say, thanks guys. Closer towards the solution, the better. Title: Re: Hello Fellow Memebers! Now please help me. Post by: Foxxy on August 12, 2010, 11:49:14 PM @ Anim8r Dude
PCS and PAC files are used for multiplayer and story/singleplayer. As for which one effects which, I do not know. I always try to get both just to be safe. Less glitchy that way. Also, try naming all your folders as follows (ex. private/wii/app/RSBE/pf/fighter/captain/fitcaptainXX) Also, I do believe gameconfig is necessary now-a-days. Usually it just automatically appears there, but I don't know for sure. It's in my root folder, but I'm not sure how it got there. Hope that works for you! PM me if you need extra help. ~Foxxy P.S. I'd have to find the link, but I'm pretty sure someone named MasterLink or something made a complete ready to go file set that you simply copy and paste onto a SD card. It's preloaded with textures, CSP's, music, stages, and everything. I'll try to get the link for you tomorrow. Title: Re: Hello Fellow Memebers! Now please help me. Post by: DocStrange on August 13, 2010, 04:45:52 PM pcs files are for multiplayer, and generally the only ones you need (except for changing characters like Samus)
As for the textures not showing, are you using a 2 gig SD card? It has to be 2 gig otherwise Brawl won't recognize it. Title: Re: Hello Fellow Memebers! Now please help me. Post by: Foxxy on August 13, 2010, 08:03:17 PM @ DocStrange: Now that I think about it, this was the reason my hacks didn't work when I first used them. I wonder how many people have been stumped by this and had this exact problem... >_>
