Title: Re: USB Loader guide? Post by: hughie on August 15, 2010, 03:35:00 PM search on youtube And what if i have question to ask?Messaging the person wouldn't be so convenient, would it? Which USB loader? GXTitle: Re: USB Loader guide? Post by: Segtendo on August 15, 2010, 03:44:20 PM If you want to play with many codes, I recommend NeoGamma. It has the gameconfig.txt. Check the BrawlVault resources.
In NeoGamma, set it up like this: Hook type: VI (buggy) Ocarina On: SD(using cIOS) Altern. dol : No Save Config : yes Also, you'll need this (http://wbfsmanager.codeplex.com/releases/view/26808) to format your USB to WBFS and put the games on. Post by: Segtendo on August 15, 2010, 04:12:59 PM Also, you'll need this (http://wbfsmanager.codeplex.com/releases/view/26808) to format your USB to WBFS and put the games on. Title: Re: USB Loader guide? Post by: dRage on August 16, 2010, 06:42:27 AM Go for Configurable USB loader or cfg in short. The best one out there in my opinion, has a flashy interface, covers as well as updates can be downloaded directly from the app.
It also has the latest version of the ocarina code handler so you won't have to change your setup at all. As long as you enable the ocarina on the games you want to use it with, it works exactly like gecko os. Title: Re: USB Loader guide? Post by: hughie on August 16, 2010, 06:57:30 AM Ok, so i added the iso to the flash drive with WBFS Manager, and have a folder named
"inSDroot" with all of the stuff in in at the root of my sd card. Am i done now? Title: Re: USB Loader guide? Post by: dRage on August 16, 2010, 07:04:28 AM I'm assuming you didn't have a custom IOS installed before?
What system menu are you on? And I'm fairly certain you need to put the content of the folder you mentioned at the root of your sd, not the folder itself. Title: Re: USB Loader guide? Post by: hughie on August 16, 2010, 07:08:57 AM I have 4.2
Title: Re: USB Loader guide? Post by: dRage on August 16, 2010, 07:27:44 AM Yeah, you'll likely need a custom IOS ... been a while since I last set up USB loader on 4.2.
Just try if it works without installing a custom IOS. If it doesn't work I might be able to help you when I get back home. I should still have the required files on my SD card. Title: Re: USB Loader guide? Post by: hughie on August 16, 2010, 09:03:21 AM Yep, it turns out i do need a custom ios. :P
I hope you can get the files soon. :D Title: Re: USB Loader guide? Post by: Segtendo on August 16, 2010, 10:05:54 AM The reason why I said try Neogamma was because Configurable USB Loader didn't work with my 8GB USB. It works with my 2GB USBs.
Anyways, you'll need Hermes's cIOS 222 and 223. Title: Re: USB Loader guide? Post by: hughie on August 16, 2010, 12:10:15 PM Its says i need IOS249.
So i need cIOS 249, 222, and 223. Is that right? Do i need to add more? Title: Re: USB Loader guide? Post by: RevengeHunter on August 16, 2010, 01:16:13 PM Nope thats all you need.
Title: Re: USB Loader guide? Post by: hughie on August 16, 2010, 05:28:12 PM Ok, so does cIOSX_rev20 installer work with the 3 ios i just mentioned?
Title: Re: USB Loader guide? Post by: RevengeHunter on August 16, 2010, 06:17:14 PM No, it only installs cios 249. You need Hermes cios for the other cioses, here you go http://sites.google.com/site/completesg/cios/hermes-cios
EDIT: Damn you, misleading sig pic! Title: Re: USB Loader guide? Post by: hughie on August 16, 2010, 06:20:20 PM Is it a homebrew app?
Title: Re: USB Loader guide? Post by: RevengeHunter on August 16, 2010, 06:21:36 PM Yes it is.
Title: Re: USB Loader guide? Post by: hughie on August 16, 2010, 06:24:25 PM Ok great, thanks ;D
Title: Re: USB Loader guide? Post by: hughie on August 18, 2010, 11:08:14 AM Is there a version of Hermes cios without download things from the internet, like on that uses the files at the root of your sd card?
Title: Re: USB Loader guide? Post by: RevengeHunter on August 18, 2010, 12:40:06 PM Download this (http://nusdownloader.googlecode.com/files/NUSD_v15aBeta.zip) and go back to the page I mentioned earlier and follow the steps in the 'offline NUS downloads' part of the guide. Then try loading Hermes cios installer again. It should install the wads you downloaded with NUS.
