Title: Texture hacking the info.pac file.
Post by: mewmaster93 on August 21, 2010, 04:21:42 PM
I've figured out how to import text from other games to replace the battle messages in game without increasing the file size of the info.pac file.
Problem is, though these textures work, the shadow of the previous texture are stuck behind the texture.

Like I replaced the "GO!" Texture with the "ACTION!" Texture from BlazBlue Continuum Shift, yet the black shadow of "GO!" is stuck behind the "ACTION!" texture.

Is there anyway to remove the shadow at all?

there's an alpha image... (B/W)
I'll have to look into it...

Is the shadow a separate texture in a different place?

Doesn't seem like it, I'll check again.

Well, I tried removing the polygons that represented the shadows, but they stayed anyways.

It seems as though it's not possible, so I'm not going to try anymore.
Oh well, one step closer to being able to release one of those...

dude...
just find the B/W images and color them black...
nothing will show up because they're used as alphas

That's just it, I couldn't find any B/W images in the info.pac file.
